Is it safe to fly????

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Is it safe to fly????

Post by LeftfootlegendGooner »

I know this is off the subject of a massive game tonight but I am meant o be flying to Crete next Tuesday to meet my best mate and his family from Lisburn.

Now I am known not to worry about anything really but what with this swine flu and the fact that you can catch it from up to 10 metres away from the person who sneazes it has got me a tad nervous.

A plane is a well known bug breeding ground cos the air is recycled, what if someone starts sneazing behind me what do you do ?

Don't really care about me but have the wife to think about.

Go.

If you're worried about it on a plane, then you'll never be able to go to work, get on a bus, go to the football, etc etc

Upgrade to first class.

Keep away from the common riff raff in standard and let them spread the lurgies amongst each other.

Yeah go, this whole swine flu seems there to cause mass panic to get peoples minds of the economy and general financial meltdown of the world.

It's killed 8 people out of a population of 21 million hasn't it? more people probably die a day from heart attacks.

Know there is two people who have contracted it in Scotland?

We I read today that they have rounded up all the people who had contact with them since their return from Mexico to see if thay have the symptoms.

It did say though that they was not contacting people who flew home on the same plane as them as an airplane is not seen as close contact and low risk.
