My personal take on last night and particularly Adebayor
Going to the game last night my opinion is the only players that played well was Almunia, Toure, Gibbs and maybe Song, Nasri should have played on the left, Diaby in the middle, Fabregas further back so he can actually dictate things and hopefully Adebayor will catch Swine flu and die as I have never genuinly hated a player more than I hate him, he is a c*nt of the highest order, its not him playing sh!t that annoys me, its how he shrugs his shoulders and doesn't break a sweat and doesn't care, he was so static last night, no movement and everytime Arsenal dirve forward he drifts out wide as he thinks he is Henry, when he gets it the only thing he is capable of doing was passing back to the full back, and if I was Cesc or Song I would have inserted a rocket up his ass last night, as its disgraceful, I hate him more than the whole spurs squad put together and i generally mean that and its not based on last night, its based on the whole season.
Arsenal deserved to lose last night because yet again Wenger fucks up with the team selected and Adebayor is everything that represents a modern day football, a horrible greedy big egotistical wanker and thats Arsenal out as they won't win 2-0 or 3-1 next week.
I'll finish with the only positive that is Gibbs was exceptional and did well to attempt to get forward and kept Ronaldo pretty quiet.
We go 1 down next week its game over although in my honest opinion it already is.

What I found so shocking and disappointing last night, was that it was our biggest game since Paris in 2006.
Wenger bangs on ceaselessly about 'great team spirit...mental strength....great young players...' etc., etc., well here was the perfect stage to show it.
And what happened ? Well without Almunia, we'd have gone down by four or five.
No spirit, no belief, no effort. Utd had bags of all of that and we were even worse than we were in Rome and that was bad enough.
It gives a complete lie to Wenger's propaganda about how great we very soon will be - if we aren't there already. Wenger played players out of position and got his approach all wrong. Ferguson by contrast got it more or less spot on.
We'll see what happens next Tuesday. Miracles do happen as they did at Anfield in '89.
Do the current crop have that in them ?

Whitney, your Ade comments are a fair shout. On the other hand, we rarely got the ball into the final third and when we did there was no one prepared to push on in support.
Whats wrong with good ol fashioned 4-4-2 with Walcott playing off of Ade with Cesc playing in central midfield pulling the strings
Talking of Walcott - was he playing last night? Or was he doing that "if I stand over here, no one will see me" routine?
Bloody uphill second leg now.

Honestly, my face was going as red as fergusons with anger last night yet I get told to shut up as he scores goals and he is world class....yeah hes a world class *word censored*, if I could have gone onto the pitch last night I would have broke his nose and i've never thrown a punch in my life......I find it so insulting for all of us, all the season ticket holders who pay a grand each a season, all the people who spend 100 quid on ticket and travel up to manchester yet £90 000 will go in his bank on Friday and it actually makes me sick, I thought i'd calm down about it after a nights sleep but I haven't and won't....as mentioned it was our biggest game since CL final, our biggest game of the season..........SEMI FINAL OF THE CL ffs , an occasion any pro should relish but he couldn't care, at least the players who played poor and gave there all despite most of the midfield playing out of position.....Adebayor you have no excuse and il personally pay for a one way ticket for you to fuck off to italy or spain or wherever pays you the most.donaldo wrote:Well said Whitney
But you still get the muppets who sing his fucking song. The day he leaves the club cant come quickly enough

I agree about the 4-4-2 - the good old fashioned way of playing football that WORKS, but whether we had the players available last night to do that remains to be seen?Lord Peter of Highbury wrote:Whitney, your Ade comments are a fair shout. I rememeber a fantastic run from Gibbs last night in the second half and he laid it off for Adeabyor to run on to and he stopped still as the ball was played....it was as if he was deliberately throwing the game at times he was that disinterested yet muppets shout ADEBAYOR as for one second of the game he thought he'd grab the ball and volley over.....well done Adebayor, well done.
Adebayor is a scorer of great goals there is no denying it but that is the very thing that I feel masks or disguises all his bad points and that is why he has got away with it for so long.
I must admit i think his time at the club may now be up. The calling for Nicky Bendtner to replace him tells you all you need to know! The fans were really on his back last night. He was half booed off last night. I think his relationship with the fans has gone beyond repair. I said in the summer that the fans would forgive & forget as long as he continued banging in the goals - he hasn't so we havent!
Great comments - agree with them all.
Adebayor is still conning a few people who have reverted to singing his song when he occasionally scores against another lower half team, but for the majority his egotistical ways of last Summer have continued throughout the year.
If Bendtner had played like that last night he would have been subject to dog's abuse on here......Ade - start behaving like you did when you first joined the club.

If any of ya"s watched the "pundits" last night analising manures goal, you will see that if Lazybayor had stayed in the six yard box, instead of strolling to the outside of the 18 yard area,he"d have prevented 1 of the 3 manure players who were ALL ALONE from maybe scoring.
I hate to say this but i agree that hes NOT a team player and should go.
Hes got a very very high opinion of himself.
I hope you also noticed how much running Super Nick did when he came on.
HE never gives up unlike the Togo bloke

Ade didn't do much....but didn't get a whole lot of service! With the notable exceptions of Almunia and Gibbs (who seems to get better with every match!) I didn't think anyone excelled.
But - amazingly - we only lost 0-1. Not a great result, but one that gives us a real chance to make the Final.
Can we win 2-0 or 3-1 at the Grove? Of course we can....
!
I'd definitely start though with Eduardo and RVP.....
