You think BB and donaldo wanted to finish 5th rather than 4th? Of course not, but they expressed their concerns on here. Because we scraped 4th with 3 or 4 games left in the season doesn't make you somehow superior to them, mate.

I don't consider myself a rose tinter/eternal optimist but nor do I fall into the other category of realist/pessimist I can merely see what AW is trying to do and I am prepared to be patient, so IMO it's all about a balanced view and sayin Villa will draw here and lose there blah blah blah, without making even the slightest reference to the fact that we have the hardest run in of the lot is hardly pragmatic

Anyway 4th place this season was more by luck than design and arsene must really buck up his ideas if this fight to barely finish in the top 4 isnt to become an annual event

Well maybe you require tips on conveying your sense of humour, we are dealing with the written word here and unless you use the emoticons, particularly when starting an (inaccurate) thread using members' names in the title over a post from 3 months ago then what do you expect???
I like 99.9% of the peeps on here or should that be 100% now that Smoothy's gone do have a sense of humour but if it's one thing that does piss me off it's when someone's poor attempt at humour doesn't come off and they blame the intended recipients

I can understand why there was confusion, though.
To be honest, he comes across as a top bloke, so I tend to think the best of people like that anyway... maybe some posters who are less familiar with his "work" on here, quite understandably misread his intent.

Fair enough, but it was probably the inaccuracy of the "joke" that actually set me off, you know I spend a lot of time defending AW and even worse, the board, and on the one post 3 months ago where I show any sort of inclination that I was worried that 5th could become a reality and even then it was only to remind others of our own run in when peeps were sayin Villa will drop points here and Villa will drop points there, and the next thing I see a thread title with my name in it for allegedly bein an unbeliever ah well never mind I s'pose
