Arsene's Worst Signing?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Nah, it was trying to catch a Flight to france for a World cup came on which he was commentating on. A fan asked him for his autograph but it was all a bit rushed as Arsene was running to his gate.
Poor signature! :?

I don't agree with that!

Sure he didn't do great but along with other promising young 'keepers he was fucked over by Wenger.

I am just remembering his complete ineptness in the 4-2 reverse against Charlton, or the Gus Poyet goal at WHL in the same season.

The Everton fans called him Teflon !

But your right, he wasn't the worst signing by a long shot.

how the hell do you fuck a keeper over? We have a goalkeeping coach, you know. Worked perfectly well for Lehmann and Almunia and will hopefully as well work with Fabianski.

Wright just wasn't very good. Manninger was a better keeper, but lost his form for several years and is only back to his best this season.

Yes and they are the words of the goalkeeping coach at the time, Bob Wilson!

Wilson has said openly he thinks Wenger ruined the careers of Wright, Manninger and Taylor!

Still want to be so bolshy?
