Penalty Shootout/Exams

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Penalty Shootout/Exams

Post by northbankbren »

HELLO ALL (Yes I've had a drink or 7 8) )

Havent spent much time round here as of late due to fact i've been revising for my exams (NOT 2NITE THO :D ), Im 26 so feel like an old student, and the whole revision thing fuking bugs me to hell. (by the way not security exams, past them along time ago, honest db  ).

have to comment on the whole concept on exams.....in a football context of course (dont relegate thread). They, as in exams are really fukin cruel. And harsh. And not a reflection of talent, just like penalties, see the link there .

My point is you put in a years work, work your arse off, you could be perfect/know everything. Wake up the day of your exam with a cold/hear bad news/get stupidly nervous/or anything else and you fuck up and fail.....or miss your pen.

I knew when i signed up id have to do exams/just like they know it may go to pens, but i still believe the whole concept is wrong. In education you could know everything 100% day of exam your wife leaves you.....your head is fucked up,you fuck up, you fail.....even though you knew all the answers, your head wasnt in the rite place on the day and you......fucked up?

Pens are just the same...........my point.

GET RID OF EXAMS.........

.....OH AND PENALTIES

Penalties are entertaining.

As is watching a load of lazy fucking students who've done no work all year squirming at exam-time.

Get rid of dissertations, make everything exam-based

Exams are a pain in the arse, have them in a couple of weeks. made worse by putting in absolutely no effort all semester...

But you know what's worse than an exam? Having a report due tomorrow... :banghead:

Will be a late night I think...

Masters in Aerospace Engineering.

Completed my LAST exam last week, and now just have my dissertation presentation next Monday... then that's it!! :-P

By the way, agree with northbankbren... exams are awful. Even if you're totally prepared, the minute countdown before you start the exam is nerve-racking and, and you say, like a penalty shootout.

I have my GCSE exams already underway, I have a Maths one tomorrow and a Science one the day after. All this fucking revision does my head in and loads of students licking up to the teachers' arse. :banghead:

What does that mean exactly???

My Year 11's have worked very hard for two years, have been given lots of help and have never 'licked up' to my arse!!!

Good luck anyway...

Well to be fair that was a bit of an over-estimate by me. There are some who really like to rub it in, just a few but when I see it I hate it.

And thankyou

I hate exams! I have my first law exam in two weeks

What makes it even worse is when im qualified I will be able to refer to books and other resources yet this is a pure memory test and ive had most of this week free from revision simply because my brain cannot take in anymore information. It doesn't help that im doing it after working all day but im gonna pass this damn exam :barscarf: :banghead:
