The Gunners have offered the Dutchman £80,000 a week, considerably less than Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand earn at Old Trafford.

The link is above, it says that RVP has only made 79 starts since he joined? Surely he's started more games than this...????

I personally rate rvp although i know the camp is pretty much split down the middle here.

Don't know how he would get on at manure, who would he replace to get a start?

Why dont they want greedy anymore

and all I can say is that when he consistently contributes the same amount as those two then perhaps he can start demanding the same wages

apparently rvp has only a year left on his contract so potentially someone can get him very cheap :? He is 25 now so will be looking at what, maybe 2 more contracts so they will have to be big ones, i think he could well be on the move although he does seem to love playing for the arsenal its agents who make up players minds nowadays imo

Lets be honest now RVP has had one good season in the 4 seasons he has been at the club does he really deserve £80k a week.Remember we gave someone else £80k a week last summer and look how that turned out. :heads:

I suspect this is a complete pile of garbage, when has anything the Sun said ever happened?

I like Van Persie and think he gives us something completely different, can change a game in an instance e.g. Chelsea away

He is very creative and always gives his all, there are times when he looks like he going to kill someone to get the ball back, thats what we need (dertermination not muderers!)

As i said i think this is just made up but i would be very sad and surprised if he was to move on, especially for those tossers!
