Why dont we go for Tevez?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

1. We have adebayor

2. We won't spend serious money to challenge. We spend enough to maintain our top 4 place, which after all is what is important these days

3 reasons...

- Paying 25m would almost DOUBLE our current highest transfer fee ever paid, so I would say that's doubtful!

- His wage demands would probably be out of reach for us!

- He's probably more interested in Liverpool, Chelsea or a top Italian/Spanish team.

Shame... Tevez' energy and will-to-win is 10,000 times that of Ade!

He looks weird, plays for Argentina, would be an ex-Manc, and his 'ownership' is dodgy.

Oh and the price tag.

And did I mention that he looks weird?

my reasons:

- 25 million
- I'd rather have my strikers create and score chances rather than run around the whole pitch like headless chickens
- doesn't score enough goals
- creates few to no opportunities for others.
- overall not anywhere near as good as people believe

edit: also, he looks weird

Tevez is probably not the type of player we need at the moment (certainly not as a priority!) but I think he would score goals if he played every week and I think "headless chicken" is a little harsh

Edit: yes, he looks a little weird

I'd still back a headless chicken to look less weird than Tevez.

We don't need a striker that is why.

Oh now you have me doubting myself...

Perhaps equally weird.

But in an Arsenal shirt, white sleeves or otherwise, yes, Tevez would look more weird.

1.
Even if get rid of Ade we´re strong enough up front with RVP, AA, Vela, Eddie (if he´s fit), Bendtner (the next Ibrahimovic as we heard lately).

2.
Even though more good strikers such as Tevez wouldn´t hurt we should spend the money we have for a world class DM. I think that is the key position for next season where we need to bolster up the most.[/list]

Alex Ferguson told his players that he was going to bring in some new faces.

Tevez asked if he could have one of them. :D
