Usual thread starter. Could have been a lot worse, although Sparta are no mugs. Will be a sentimental return for Tomas Rosicky. 2005-06 we played this lot and went on to reach the final. Repeat of that would be nice with a different result at the end!

Think Liverpool's draw is not a good one. French season starts earlier and they will be more into their stride. Anyone think either English side will get KO'd?

only trying to beat the flood on newsnow and get some hits for the site

however - the newsnow radar was obviously not picking us up, so all in vain.

shall i blame our hosting company? well i had better not as i have no idea how ANR got listed on newsnow before me - and i swear ours went up within 30 seconds of arsenal's name coming ou of the bowl.

not the greatest piece of writing you'll see on onlinegooner, but at least there was no waffle

Spot on Ed. Sparta won't be easy but we could have got it worse. On the face of it, Celtic and Liverpool have it worse.

I was at that one. And also the one in 2000 (I think that was Prague and not Moscow wasn't it?)

I thought we breezed through of them fairly easy. The last occasion RVP was starting to emerge as a 1st team regular, coming on and scoring if I recall correctly.

We should be aware of underestimating them, they do have quite a record of producing players and I'm sure won't be easy. Think I would prefer Tolouse given that they were very lucky to get in by a ruling over a drawn march turned into a win.
