RVP up front???

RVP up front???

Post by goonermc »

Now our beloved TH has left for an inferior league (old age gets to the best of us) i was just wondering what us gooners think our optimum strikeforce should be.....RVP would surely have to start with...?? Adebayor..has he done enough?, Eduardo..maybe Bendnter or even Theo.

van persie is the main man up front i would start with da silva. ade is best for away games as proved last season.

Totally agree, i think Addy is a great outlet ball away from home, but at home when we're faced with 10 men behind the ball i think Eduardo looks more cunning.

da silva looks a class act. and rvp has the ability to be as good as henry. theo and nick given time to develop can be great back up as well.

I've tried to like Adebayor, but I just can't. The strikeforce should (and will) be him and whoever floats the Boss' boat at the time. I imagine it will be Eddie. Only time will tell just how good he is.

As for Eboue moving to the wing - puh-lease. He isn't a winger. I'm sure he could fill in there if we needed him, but a natural winger he ain't.

Im so with TS on this one and I have expressed this opinion in other threads!

Being quick does not mean your a winger....there has to be an end product...delivery!

Eboue gets in great positions down to his raw pace but when he gets there......

ECCHL

Eboue Cant Cross His Legs!

..................and when he get's there Eboue picks a pinpoint pass from the right wing to TH and we beat the Mancs 2-1, not bad for a guy with no delivery.

Ok thats one!

So now give me that as a percentage of times Eboue has got to the dead ball line or beat the full back and has delivered a cross/pass that has put a goal on a plate for someone!

So that would be one out of how many...........?

One decent cross does not make you a winger!

Gus, Eboue would be a far better winger than a full back, i thought everyone would understand that. One decent cross does not make you a winger with Eboue's against Manure!!, so how about his cross for RVP to score the best goal of his life v Charlton?? All coming from the FULL back position, imagine if Eboue can get that freedom to roam?? I know your next post.............'but, tell me another cross Eboue made'..there's been plenty

If Ade was fit, i dont think Arsene will be starting with Eduardo for now. I dont think he will be starting with Eduardo in the Fulham game either, its gonna be Hleb playing just behind RVP.

Goonermc are you seriously suggesting that Eboue's cross was the making of RVP's goal against Charlton?

Plus saying Eboue will make a better midfielder then a full back is also no guarantee of quality.

I will concede he has played better than I expected in the friendlies. However would you want him playing there if we had signed Ribery or Babel or Malouda or possibly Quasamera?

No you would want the proper out and out genuine wingern playing there!
