I fully expected it, but only because the guy who got hit changed his story after he had seen the CCTV. Gerrards excuse was pretty pathetic.

I think i'll be out tonight to kick the living f*ck out of someone i don't like, i'll take someone along with me to give me a hand and make sure it's all on CCTV and when it comes to court i'll cite the Gerrard case as a precedent for my innocence...it should work..... NOT..
