Why does Almunia seem to thinks he is Arsenal's Spokesperson

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Why does Almunia seem to thinks he is Arsenal's Spokesperson

Post by PI7ES »

Every day a different article in the papers or the net with quotes from almunia. Does he not relise the press in this country turn everything you say into a negative comment and make it seem ten times worse?

Last week is was kolo was bored, and so could cesc. Today its Wenger is suffering.

Just keep it shut manuel!!!

It's either him or theo all the time......2 average footballers which epitomises this current Arsenal team

Of course it could also be a ploy to keep almunia in the public eye ahead of him becoming engerlands number 1 in south africa next summer

When asked any questions in future he should reply like his namesake -

"I know nothing"

The full interview is in today's Grauniad. The suffering bit of course has been taken out of context.
Almunia is so engaging and honest that he does not gloss over the difficulties now being experienced at Arsenal, especially by a manager as defiantly principled as Wenger. "When time passes and you don't win anything it's not easy for the boss," Almunia concedes. "You can see the face of the boss every day. It is calm and relaxed but I think, inside, he is suffering because he can't give the people what they want. And the patience of people can run out."

oh no he's been interviewed at the charity event and different newspapers print the interviews at different times.

I say we should cut off his dick for this outrage.

It's ok, we're being linked again with Tim Krul the reserve Newcastle keeper...............that's right, the guy who can't break into the 1st team that shipped a shed load of goals last season and got relegated. Still, he'll be cheap

Yeah Almunia is better than Van Der Sar who played his part in keeping those clean sheets for Utd last season.
