CELTIC THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

celtic are a horrible crowd of annoying jocks, most of their irish based fans are a horrible crowd of annoying c**ts who are totally deluded in thinking that the SPL is a serious league.
c'mon you gunners, send them into the Europa League, its just about their standard

how's the head DB, a wee bit tender i would say?

no worries over the two legs i would reckon; it'll be interesting to see how we deal with the 'atmosphere' up there, and for the return leg, we'll show them up for the mickey mouse league side that they are :barscarf:

not all Celtic fans are bad, their away support is always well behaved. did'nt they get a special fair play award from UEFA after the final in Seville.

back to the game i hope the atmosphere doesn't affect our players, if not then i can see us winning this at Celtic park

I think it will be alot tougher then some think, was talking yesterday about wether Mowbray will try and play football against us and go for it or pack players behind the ball and play on the break?

I hope he sticks with the same team looked good at everton, i think we can get 1-0 or 1-1 and then finsh the job at are place.

Not bad actually GG!!

I was expecting a thermonuclear hangover and I just feel a bit dehydrated and tired... :?

Have to agree 99% of Irish Celts are arseholes. I once had a Celtic jersey wearing gobshite confont me in my local and demand to know why I was wearing the jersey of a "British" club...

When I helpfully pointed out that he too was indeed wearing the jersey of a British club he nearly had a stroke!! He reckoned they were Irish...

I asked him what part of Ireland Glasgow was in...

Fucking moron.

Tough game.

A score draw would be a fantastic result, and put us in control of the tie.... although, a win would be better!

I was talking to a couple of Celtic fans last night, they reckon that we will not be able to cope with the atmosphere and the support of their fans, and that we will roll over in Parkhead. I told them that if Celtic came to the English leagues that they would be only a Championship side

Still though we were pretty Brittle in a few matches last year away from home. But all in all we should get through :barscarf:

its a point celtic fans make that i will never understand, sure celtic park can be loud but it can also be damn quiet esp if they are losing, anyway the arsenal have played some teams in champions league that were way louder then anything celtic can do, ie fenerbahce

I can understand the arguements against certain sections of fans from both old firm teams but I just cannot go along with the belief that both of them would only be at championship level down south. These are 2 massive clubs who are def playing in a mickey mouse league deprived of any serious money. Do people not remember the standard of football in england pre the prem league and all its money ? Just remember back to our midfield with jensen, hillier, mcgoldrick (and we were winning and challenging for trophies then) etc and tell me then that the english league was the best league in europe. You give the old firm teams the type of tv money and sponsorship cash that the premier league clubs get and with 60,000 home attendances every week you would quickly see a turnaround in the quality of both clubs and would def see two teams that would be in the top half of the englsih premier league
