Best and worst recorded team songs.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Best and worst recorded team songs.

Post by olgitgooner »

Worst ever for me was the Jocks, "We're on the march with Ally's army, were going to the Argentine, and we'll really shake 'em up when we win the World Cup, 'cos Scotland are the greatest football team".    Deluded, or WHAT!.

Best was the obvious "Good Old Arsenal". But the lyrics a bit naff, nevertheless.

Followed by the England squad's "Back Home". Stirring stuff. But without the false promise of the Jocks.

Chelsea's "Blue Is The Colour" :ewwwww: was at least well put together. And singable for their shite fans.

What about Status Quo? Southern plastic Mancs. *word censored*.

you've got to hold and give
and do it at the right time
you can be slow or fast
but you must get to the line

All football "songs" are shit. Footballers should never be allowed to sing.

The worst has to be when Everton released "Here we go" in the mid-80s, for three reasons. Firstly it shows a complete fucking lack of imagination, secondly it reminds me of poxy shite little Northern bastards like Burnley, and finally Andy Gray was involved (wankpot of the year)

Obviously anything churned out by those 2 neanderthal scummers Chas n Dave gets a vote too.

Definitely World in Motion gets my vote for the best

Basil Boli and Chrsi Waddle when he was at Marseille
 very embarassing

In france we've got a lot of parodies, to make fun of our players like this one about Trezeguet:

or this one about Domenech:
