Adebayor's stamp

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I think the FA will definately look at that.

I also expect the FA to fine him for his goal celebration.

*word censored*!

That is a shocking tackle by Van Persie. I'd have stepped on him if he came at me with that shit. Then picked him up and nutted him.

I see young lads flying in like that at my 7 year olds football training every week and I tell my boy to stand on them so they don't do it again.

I'm not impressed Robin, and I'm a big fan usually.

I'm absolutely sure that had Arsenal and Van Persie not released that statement it wouldn't even get looked at, it was an excellent move. Now the FA/Premier League have little option but to charge him and review it, at the very least.

They wouldn't even have shown the stamp on MOTD, I would bet you anything.

Even now I'm not sure that they will show it tonight.

come on, the tackle was low and he got the ball.

Unfortunately there's a frame missing in the gif, but in the full video you can clearly see that he got the ball and only caught the light-blue *word censored* with his trailing leg, without intent.

I am not a big fan of RVP as well...But after he spoke out the incident, I can't love him anymore. I don't want to see the *word censored* Greedy on the pitch anymore FFS :banghead:

agreed van pierses tackle wasnt the best, infact it was dirty in its own way. that dosent excuse what barndoor did. vps tackle was probably worth a yellow card.

"I was trying to kick the ball," Adebayor told Sky Sports. "I see him tackling and I don't have time to take my feet back because I'm trying to kick the ball.

Adebayor apologies for goal celebration

"My feet touch his head. I feel sorry for him and even straight away, and at the end of the game, I said sorry."
what a fucking idiot.

rvp's tackle was what we need more of.

now if he could stop being such a poncy lightweight around the box he would be fine....

good to see after he got his goal he seemed to grow in confidence, hopefully thatl be the start of some goals for the ade hater

Wooaah! You posted this vid. Adebayor kicked the ball with his left foot. VP got nothing. I would have killed him if he tried that at Power League.

Wooaah! Van Persie may have put in a shit tackle but the FA don't understand the concept of retaliation, so Ade's stamp (for want of a better, less dramatic word) should, and probably will, be looked at.

By the way, I would have stamped on RvP too if that was Power League  (I also would have gone out of my way to celebrate in front of the opposition fans :D ) - but enough about me... Ade's a *word censored*, and I'm not! 8)
