Dixon and Keown on MOTD2

Dixon and Keown on MOTD2

Post by BT »

Sorry if this has been raised elsewhere (I trawled through a few threads) but did anyone see them highlighting Adebayor strutting through the Arsenal players just prior to kick off when everyone was lined up in their own half?

Dixon said 'if Martin Keown had been there, he'd have lifted him up and put him back in his own half' and that he was incensed watching from the stands.

I miss the days when we had proper men on the team.

I saw this also, I said to my mate when watching it, I think he has got confused (being the thick bastard that he is) and is lining up on the wrong side.

I didn't know he was strutting his stuff whilst doing this, he really is a horrible piece of work isn't he? :banghead:

Yeah I saw that, we could have done with dealing out some rough stuff on Saturday. Adebayor looked so arrogant, he needed bringing down a peg or two.

One of my favourite football pics is Martin Keown laughing in Ruud Van Nistelrooy's face after he missed that pen at OT!

I saw this just before kick-off on saturday & thought to myself "what the flying f**k is he doing?!", was glad when it was brought up on MOTD2 last night. What I wouldn't give for a bit of the Keown fighting spirit in this squad...

And the sorry truth is we haven't. This is not a dig at Cesc but a proper leader TA6/PV4/Frank McKlintock would not have allowed that to happen anyway.

But Wenger has bred a leaderless side - as the results and performances show.

I didn't see it but was chatting to a mate this morning about Greedy's behaviour on Saturday and we both agreed that had Keown, TA6 or Romford Pele been on the pitch they sure as hell would not be shaking his hand and hugging him at the end of the match and he would have left the pitch early to protect him from any solid tackles. Thats the problem with Arsenal nowadays, they have no bollocks.

Says a lot really when a twat who barely ever showed any real bottle with us felt secure enough strutting around knowing there’d be no repercussions. It’d be one thing for a genuine hard bastard to do it but for one with his cowardly traits to feel safe is another thing entirely.

I wouldn’t even have minded no one from our lot sending him back to his own half if once the match started at least one of them had laid down a marker early on to show the c*nt they weren’t gonna take any of that sort of shit. Not saying we were intimidated by it or anything - we actually started the match quite well - & there’s no point flying in recklessly & getting a yellow in the first minute but once he’d got away with that he obviously started to feel more & more like the big man when one crunching tackle might have at least sewn some seeds of doubt in his mind.

I agree 100% that in principle this *word censored* should face two charges from the fa today but the sad reality is that I really dont care if they sweep this under the carpet :( I dont want a shower of *word censored* at the fa fighting our battles for us when we dont have the balls to do it ourselves on the pitch  Call me old school if you like but these things should be sorted there and then on the pitch and while many mocked the possible signing of someone like cana in the summer branding him a thug in the process I dont think there can be any denying that until we get a player along those lines (especially in the middle of the park) then we will never be anything other than pushovers for scum *word censored* like him

I think him strutting it amongst our players without anyone of them putting him in his place is worse than the daft crunt running 90 yards to rub it in to our away support.

As has been said, where's our fucking testes gone?! Surely that SA runner blokething hasn't gotten them all??!!

Christ, I play amateur footy and if anyone tried that billy big bollocks (even at our level) it'd be sorted, if not right then, then within 5 minutes of kick off.

We need some steel in that team.
