is it just me or do opposition goalkeepers always seem to have the game of their life against us . any other day we would have scored 2 or 3 before the 70th minute .

anyway i'm just thankfull for the win and i think it will be a massive pychological boost to our lads . :D :D :D

lets just watch a few more games first, the opening goal for fulham was unusual. Hleb played really well in that position, some huge saves didnt help us.

I agree, the Fulham goal was a fluke....last season this is a game we would have lost....lets give it a few games...its good to see however that we never gave up and tried to the end...this will help the team believe they can come back when they go behind...last year they tended to put the head down and sulk for a bit.

yeh and I think we will get better and better, its only the first game. Plus we still have eduardo and ade to come back, and hopefully jens doesnt do his trick again.

You must respect the way lehmann handled himself for the rest of the game, he kept his head and focus. If it had been me, i would of wanted to dig a hole on the penalty spot and bury my head in it.

And think about it, and the fact that we won, we cant look back at laugh at it now, I mean with all the hype of the new season and our chances, in the opening fuckin minute of the new season that shit happens hahaha

lads there was some posistives in this game today! the fighting spirit, the team unison in getting the ball of them fulham mugs after RVPs pen! the crowd actually sounding like a football crowd! and the best thing was the team huddle at the end it brought the hairs on the back of my next up

well well well, that was a somwhat stressful experience, if it weren't for king kolo we would have lost today, should get the captaincy in my view.

the new bloke Sagna looks the business and Hleb scored. all's well that ends well i suppose.

A few lessons to be learned me thinks too.

Why keep taking long corners when it's one of the smallest teams in the league (us) Vs one of the biggest (Fulham).

Why oh why oh why start with RVP on his own up front? The Fulham defence had him in their pocket for most of the game. It wasn't until Bendtner came on that their centre halves had someone to watch when a goal kick or set piece was flung in. Playing one up front, at home at least is waiving the white flag in my opinion.

Need to definately start with some height up from be it with Dudu and RVP, or Bendtner up front. There's no point trying to out play Fulham, they just kick lumps out of us.

Lawie Sanchez? I could have throttled him. Mithering the 4th official time and time again, saying we had dived 4 times. Tw8t. I felt like going down to the front at full time and having it with him!

Sorry to sound negative, as the post writer correcly states 3 points is 3 points.

If you stayed behind after the game too it was great to see the players in their huddle. It really showed what that hard fought victory meant to them as well as us.

Come on lads!

Same old, same old. Relief for the three points and Hleb and Sagna played well. But my fears seem to be realised. One up front with a support striker, at home!! Even Fulham played two up.

Thank god for King Kolo.

With what? the result?

Granted it wasn't the prettiest stuff and Fulham did have their chances, but i feel this was a game last season we would have lost.
