Other teams .. how do we rate them ?

Other teams .. how do we rate them ?

Post by gunners-need-steel »

Now we have seen the opening matches ... and based on what we have seen so far, how do we rate other teams in the premiership ?

Which teams stand out for 4 .. for good or bad?

My List:

arsenal -- showed a great potential, but need to work harder to be real title contenders

manure: will not win the league
chevski: will not win the league
man city: top 4 or 5 team
spuds: top10 (not top4, and a pleasure too) :P
sunderland: will huff and puff, and just about avoid relegation
boro: will huff and puff and just about avoid relegation
aston villa: so-so .. top14
hampsters: same as last season, no change
wigan: better than analysis, top14
newcastle: top16 (not top6) .. will finally show up big sam as not so good. tip big sam to get the boot just b4 end of season (only pleasure better than that for me, is seeing the spuds relegated)

above are the ones I can think of for now ...

Man City top 4!!!!!!!! You have started drinking early today Gunners- Need-Steel. Manure or Chelski will win the title because of the strengh of their squads. We had Song on the bench yesterday that tells a story about how strong we are

Spuds - over rated big time
West Ham - where has the team sprit from 2005 gone?
Chelski Chavs - Although they have Terry and Cech i think weak at the back
Sunderland - Roy and Quinn have got somthink special there i think
Fulham - i think are good enough to stay up
Liverpool - a good side with great players but to much pressure on them
Man City - sven may do better than expected
Manure - Big money signings but now shitting themselves because Rooney is injured
Bolton - have lost big sam now stuck with little sam
Newcastle - got big sam could win a cup (aslong as they dont meet arsenal)
Birmingham - will be good until Johan Djourou comes back to Arsenal
Derby - i think will go down
Middlesbrough - Not really that strong
Blackburn - probs big teams boegy team (not ours tho)
Wigan - i think will go down
Everton - top half no big deal
Aston Villa - good agains big teams shit against smaller ones tho
Reading - mid table hopfully have a good season
Portsmouth - A stong squad and they got Matty so they will be ok top 8
And then theres Arsenal - World beaters :D

Yes because they have that donkey David James in goal and i know he won't have to good seasons in a row, otherwise they might of won the league

in answer to the original question not much, the general standard in the league has gone right down no one in the league at the moment who would trouble the invincibles or any other Arsenal or scumchester team from then back to about 10 years ago for that matter. '04 was a high watermark IMHO no one else has come close to that level since.

Top 2 : Manure & Chelski - size of squads, loads of experience & proper
financial backing(are you listening phw ?)

Positions 3,4,5 : Between us, scousers & spurts. Both ourselves & pool
scraped wins while top 4 tottenham lost to mighty
mackems but a league season is over 38 games not 1.

Euro Places : Battle between toffees, citeh, shammers, pompey & villa.

Relegation : Between Wigan,derby,sunderland, birmingham & bolton.

Everyone else falls in between. People should be wary of reading too much into 1 weekends results cos as the old saying goes "its a marathon not a sprint".
