Gallas out for weekend.

Gallas out for weekend.

Post by potter »

Apparently he lost two teeth in the game against the Faroes and is doubtful for the game tonight and the week end. The fears of the break up of his partnership with Vermaelen could be realised.

Or Silvestre! :speechless:

Anyway, we're playing Birmingham at home, so hopefully we'll be too busy scoring goals!

After that, we have AZ and we can afford to lose that.

As long as Gallas is back for West Ham the following week, I don't see a major problem.

Although, may I just say that I don't like the balance of a Vermaelen and Silvestre/Senderos partnership.... it's just too left footed for my liking. That obviously doesn't mean they can't play together, but even Wenger has been praising the "balance" of Vermaelen/Gallas with their left foot/right foot combination, so I don't think I'm being too picky over this!

I agree it is good to have a right foot/left foot combo at centre half, it just seems more natural, Djourou would be the obvious replacement but thats not happening so unfortunately its left footed all the way (Is Senderos definately left footed, youve made me think there)

I would definitely prefer Senderos there than Silvestre, well actually i would prefer Song there, but we need him in the midfield!

Typical french wimps eh vince

Anyway it goes without saying that I would much rather senderos play alongside vermaelen but given that tweety is making the subs bench ahead of him then you would have to think that it is unlikely  It says a lot for big phil's fall from grace that he is now considered to be behind an over the top french defender who has hardly played in the past 2 or
3 seasons :o

Will need to stock up on the Andrex if Sylvestre plays  I'll be on the bowl for the 90 minutes.

As opposed to in the bowl as some people refer to the Grove now.
