RvP injured for Holland v Italy

Post by SMR »

Early reports say Robin van Persie was stretchered off for Holland against Italy. :banghead:

Just as we thought our luck was changing...

just stated on bbc.co.uk By Caroline Cheese

2212: Now then, I cannot confirm this, repeat, cannot confirm this but according to MFBorman on Twitter, Dutch TV are reporting that Robin van Persie will be out for two to three months with torn ankle ligaments.

I'm not sure you can tell the length of this injury after just two hours. Let's hope they're just guessing.

WHY WHY WHY?!?!?!!?

Blessing in disguise... Sanchez Watt will now win the golden boot :barscarf:

Seriously though, I suppose a time was always going to come when Eduardo got a chance to show what he can do in the striker role.... this might just be it!

WE ARE FUCKED!!!

All the Chelski players faked injuries to get out of playing for England... why cant our players do that...

Gutted, the worst thing is the international break only just begun...

Fucked?? - ah, who gives a shit about the doom mongers anymore. They've been predicting our downfall for so long now, I've stopped caring

I know, I know... we won't finish top 4... Wenger should be sacked... Van Persie isn't a striker... Vermaelen is too short... Fabregas doesn't look interested... Arshavin doesn't try... Song is a championship player... etc. etc. etc. - we've heard it all.

IF RvP is out then Arshavin, Cesc, Rosicky, Eduardo, Nasri, etc. will score the goals instead.

Lets just enjoy the ride and stop predicting failure all the time.

I'm gutted for him and for us.

Finally he looked the player that he can be and he's a massive player from us.

I can already hear them coming going on about how injury prone he is. There's fuck all you can do against injuries like that, it's nothing to do with the player. It's bloody unlucky.

I just hope the Daily Mail are wrong and his ankle is not broken. 2-3 months would be bad enough, but the rest of the season would mean that our title challenge is absolutely fucked.

Just back from a night out, logged on here and seen this news and it's fucking ruined my weekend! To be honest, I knew that this point was coming sooner or later. An injury to Rvp, Alex Song (can't believe i said that!) or one of the 2 centre halfs was going to leave us badly short and i fear our lack of quality in the squad could now be shown up. Would have been frustrating enough if he'd done it while playing for us but during a fucking international friendly....It's bollocks. So pissed off.
