Cesc Fabregas - The Most Overrated Player In The Prem?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Cesc Fabregas - The Most Overrated Player In The Prem?

Post by northbankbren »

I'm sure i'll get plenty of backlash from this but I dont care.

Fabregas is massivley overrated.

He dosnt work hard for the team, rarely tracks back after losing the ball and is never a leader.

I cant think of 1 important game where he has been the best player on the field. He only does well when the oposition allow him time on the ball and acres of space.

And when the chip are down he just dosent bother.

Fabs just isnt as fab as people make out.

Please do fuck off. What do you expect when he's surrounded by a bunch of average players?

Show some fucking respect to a man who has consistently given 100% every game for the last 5 years.

Pele, Cruyff, Zidane and Maradona didn't perform every week - no player can and no one player can carry a team.

Cesc must look around himself during matches and wonder how the f**k some of that dross gets to wear an Arsenal shirt.

The problem at Arsenal is NOT the bloke wearing the number 4 shirt!!

I never said it was.

Just stating the fact that he is overrated.

Am sorry but you are on your own with this one.
So Cesc should fly around the pitch tackling, scoring, passing even do some goalkeeping  because he hasn't got any team mates and we are a one man show? rubbish.

Last I checked Lampard was barely in the game and the Chavs pumped us for 3. Its a team sport and today Cesc was one of our best players and if that wasn't good enough then it shows the weakness of the team as a whole.

Cesc is our best player by a mile its the shit he has to play with. And he would be the best player in the Chelsea team as well.

Were lucky he is still playing for us.

It would have been easy for Cesc to sign for a big european side in the summer, but he stayed to try and win us something and in the hope we can plug the gaping holes in our team with some quality players.

We haven't and he may well leave in the summer. I wouldn't blame him and I salute his loyalty.

So often our truly world class players are let down by the below average players around them.

As for the question about "just one" game he has been outstanding.

SPURS at home .......
