Theo Walcott Englands great hope

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Is fucking useless, £12mill ????????? Wenger lets get rid of all this dead wood, Theo is a championship player at best or a sprinter he has nothing else about him.

And a new contract for £65k a week, why are we rewarding such mediocre players with such big contracts???

He has pace and nothing else.We might as well have Hussein Bolt on the wing.Beckham 35 and playing in America will go to the world cup before him

Theo is a championship player?? :? at BEST??

Fancy making a bet mate, that Theo not only continues to play at the top level (i.e. Premiership) but will also add to his England caps.

Theo may not be the superkid we hoped he would be, but he's still a decent prospect. His injuries have destroyed his Arsenal career so far, and I just cannot understand why so many people have the daggers out for Theo. It just makes no sense to me :?

I've seen enough in Theo (and Bendtner, Denilson & Diaby!) to believe that writing them off, and getting on their backs, is premature. Song was "a championship player" according to some last season, buit now he's looking much better, it seems it's time to move on to the latest flop. Ridiculous.

If he eventually becomes a decent squad player like Wiltord was, or Grimandi, etc. then is that so bad?? - the hype is just that... HYPE... so stop usng it to beat him with, and let the lad develop in his own time, as talk of him being a championship quality player is just utter bullshit, and it makes you wonder who's writing this shit

Oi, watch it! :x

I'm ok now.... I'm back to being relaxed and tolerant of those with differing (and absurd  ) views.

Arsenal fans that's who ! You know people like you and me !!!

He did give us 90 minutes this evening - for the first time ever in my recollection but otherwise - 'a championship player' ; or if you prefer a sanitized version of Pennant.

Nothing to make one think of the the late great George Armstrong let alone Marc Overmars. And after 4 come 5 years some of us are indeed "rushing to judgement" - as you would

He's rubbish, it's time to stop kidding ourselves, he is not a footballer, he is a runner, that is all.

I reserve judgement until he's played at least 3 hours of football this season :?

He was ***** tonight, but i remember a certain signing from Juventus being utter shite for the first few months.

That lasted for about 8 or 10 games, Theo has had a whole season now and is showing no signs of having improved his ability to pass, cross or control a ball.

Once he gets a run of games at 23, then I'll be expecting him to really perform. Not a one off appearance here and there due to injury before he is even 20
