Really. I can't see any originality. Run of the mill stuff.hatemanu99 wrote:http://www.onlinegooner.com/exclusive/index.php?id=1434

Had to laugh at the quote of possession superiority over Man City (but with no end product). They sure are doing the right job at London Colney in preparing our youngsters.

It puts things in perspective. I'm no rosetinter but I'm also a long way from being a doom & gloomer.
While I do think we need to strengthen in a number of areas, I'd much rather be doing things our way than City's. Take a look at their league position. Humped by Spurs who we proved aren't all that, although I admit we didn't have to face Lennon.
We're an injury-ravaged, physically weak, inconsistent and unremarkable (except for the odd game against shite oppo) team who I think should finish 3rd quite comfortably and posibly have a shot at 2nd as I don't think United are great this year. Citeh have spent god knows how much and might not finish in the top 6.
The grass always seems greener, but it rarely is.

Easy to say it now, I know, but I have been saying for 2 years that Walcott wont make it because he doesnt have a football brain. When he should run into space, he comes short, when he should come inside, he stays out, when he should pass the ball, he runs with it, etc. How he scored a hat trick for England I'll never understand.
Interesting comparison with Rooney, who scarcely has 2 brain cells to rub together, but whose football intelligence and instinct is 100%.
2 ways to play Theo: one, like we played 18 yr old Anelka, running on to quick balls over the top, the other, coming on as a sub with 20 mins to go and running to the bye line and crossing. Anything else, forget it.

Yes, use Theo's pace and let's give defences another thing to think about.Titi2 wrote:Easy to say it now, I know, but I have been saying for 2 years that Walcott wont make it because he doesnt have a football brain.
