Wenger on Huntelaar

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Wenger on Huntelaar

Post by projoe »

arsenal.com have an interview with wenger including something about Huntelaar, so just wondering anyone that has ATV online could let me know what the boss said, as i think he'd be a really good signing for us. ive also just read Huntelaar's agent has demanded showdown talks with Milan, and a loan move to Arsenal is possible :barscarf:

probably will come out and say he is too expensive, can't afford his wages and Bentdner will be back in 3 weeks

loan move would be a great idea but I wouldnt risk spending over 10mill on him until we know he can actually adapt to the premier league.

AW: nothing on horizon, we are active.

Huntelaar, not on radar, but don't believe these players can move. He has already moved once this season. Surprised he has not played yet.

No players to leave.

Tickets for huntelaar bandwagon not currently on sale

If Wenger doesn't take this opportunity to strengthen the squad with at least one, hopefully two quality players - and I consider Huntelaar to be exactly that - then there will be no doubt at whom the finger of blame should be pointed at the end of the season should we fail to push on from this position!!!

We won't be able to accuse the Board of starving the manager of funds either because even Arsene has admitted he has money to spend. However, does he have the inclination?

As i stated in other threads we should get Huntelaar on loan to see if he can play in the PL,as we did with Baptiste, and if any good buy in the summer. It's a world cup year and he needs to impress but as already stated price, wages and blah, blah, blah.

We desperately need a 20/30 goal striker as we haven't got 1 and to actually challenge and win we need that calibre of striker. We haven't got that in the reserves or 1st team so wengers excuse about ''killing our youth'' ain't going to hold water and he needs to take the bull by the horns and get Dzeko or similiar.Fuck wages or cost the benefits will out weigh these.

For what it's worth I got a happy Xmas PM from a friend of this forum predicting we'll make a loan move for Huntelaar. Same person predicted the Arshavin signing... :?
