Agreed Rebel

Unlucky to lose those players at the back, but very lethargic looking today.

3 points thank you very much but more questions than answers.

Jesus, Man City were shitty.

Bert at centre half and Flamini right back and we're only three games in!!

Ade looks as sharp as a spoon.

On the bright side, we are run in a financially prudent manner. We can't go spending over 8m for any individual

Maybe that's why we sell our players for peanuts. We are on a one club crusade to devalue the transfer market.

the best thing we can take is that we have 7 points from 3 games and havent looked anywhere near our best, so we'll only get sharper..the squad is looking thin already and Wenger's left it long enough so he needs to bring players in. and what the fuck is Djourou doing at Birmingham when we're playing 2 midfielders at the back by the end of the game? One more injury and its Song..

There's absolutely no doubt the squad is light, but the positives are, we've just beaten a team with a 100% record and no goals against, even tho we missed a pen into the bargain, who beat Utd last week and we did it without our capt at the back, our midfield warhorse in Diaby and our up front power player in Ade who is undeniably short on match fitness!!!
So say what you want about strength in depth and I won't/can't disagree but right now we are battling, showing spirit and have a winning mentality which altho is not what some could argue we should be doin against Fulham, Blackburn and City is not all bad considering this league is shaping up to be the most competitive for years, and it is something we have been missing since 2004 and is a foundation we can build upon!

in fairness,, yes man city beat ud last wk,, but anyone who saw it will know they should hav been hammered,, yes also to last eason we prob would hav drawn and not won,, but still doesnt cover over the fact that our squad hasnt got enough quality,, surly arsene wenger cn see that,, IS OUR CLUB BROKE ; that we cant buy anyone,, remember we got over 30mill in on sales and havnt spent half of it,,

We haven't looked anywhere near our best? I would like to ask you exactly what you think 'our best' is because I don't think today was very far from it. The whole "we play the best football in the league" thing bores me now because 1) we don't and 2) even if we did, it's won us fuck all in the last few years. So I reiterate, what exactly is 'our best' and when was the last time we saw it?

We're categorically not good enough to win the league and I'm sorry to say that anyone who thinks we are is kidding themselves. If City had a decent centre forward in their team, we would have been in serious trouble today. Don't get me wrong, I'm as much a Gooner as the rest of you lot, but league winning material we ain't.

instead of looking at what we don't have concentrate on what we do have!!!

Arsenal 2 - 1 Fulham was the better team fair outcome.

Blackburn 1 - 1 Arsenal OK should of won it but i bet most fans would of accepted a point before the game.

Arsenal v Man City 3 pts played well we weakend squad beat the team with the best start this season, which Man Utd didn't.

oh and our convincing win against Prague away 2-0.

Chelsea so far by what i heard was lucky today, lucky against liverpool last week never should off been a pen, and have let in four goals in four games.

Liverpool i agree are looking very strong.

And Utd just havent started there season yet and have been poor.

Lets look at how well we are doing not keep going on about what we don't have!

i take your point,, and can see some positives,, but football is like that,, we could hav drawn wit fulhm lost 2 blackburn and drawn 2day,, im always a glass half full guy but my point was and still is that we are short of quality in all areas,, when i watched the other two games 2day and saw there subs it hit me hard how badly off sub wise we are,, if we are 2 be title contenders then our squad has 2 be improved,, and there is no denyin that fact,,

In fairness to Ade, he isn't match fit. I don't think we will win if we don't take our chances and we do what we did against Sparta and Blackburn, sit back once we have a lead. We have 7 cm's and 5 forwards fit or near fit and we have points, there are positives. plus there is always the transfer window to add to our left wing or other area's.

Jens will return as good as ever and the injuries at the back may not be as bad as we fear, let us wait.

Let me go through our squad and list the players who I think are definitely good enough for a Championship winning team. Not for a 4th place team...

Kolo Toure
William Gallas (but it seems they can't play together)
Gael Clichy
Cesc Fabregas
Tomas Rosicky
Robin van Persie...

...and that's it. Is it really any wonder that we are one injury away from being totally shafted in both the centre back and striker position? I know the team has potential, but are you seriously going to tell me that going in to a season (a season where our main rivals have all strengthened) with only 6 players in the squad who are definitely good enough is, ahem, good enough?

Potential is all well and good, but everyone around us keeps getting stronger and stronger. I don't give a fuck about Man Utd's start to the season. I've seen it way too many times to get carried away by it. They'll be up there and I'm willing to bet money with anyone that they'll be above us at the end.

So yeah; rant over. Please don't tell me that Adebayor will come good, or that Gilberto is a world class midfielder, or that we need to give people like Theo and Helb time, because it's all just wishful thinking.

I would take out Rosiciky and add Helb since he is for me one of the best in the Prem and is highly underrated, Jens (yes he has had a bad start to the season I know), Gilberto (Brazil captain, only Machenoro is better at what he does), depends though if your just adding 1st teamers or the squad of a championship winning side here on other players. Sanga has impressed me enough to think he may be one of best right backs in Prem this season and Silva could be in a title worthy side.
