sNOw GAME

Post by BT »

Word is carling cup about to be cancelled. Manchester Airport is closed and snow hits london tonight so expect tomorrow to be postponed if Bolton cant fly and our ground is icey. Which is a bugger as there's no time to play it...

If Bolton can't make it for kick off, then the 3pts should be awarded to us! - after all, is it really too much to ask for a full-time, professional football club to get from Bolton to London (which by USA or Brazilian standards, is just down the road! ) in 3 days by plane, train or automobile? :? - I mean, it's not as if this snowy weather wasn't predicted, so they should take that into account when arranging travel!

Having said that, I wouldn't put it past the council/police to call it off due to icy walkways and roads around the ground

Exactly, Cardiff last year and member's day this season were cancelled because of the 'dangerous concorses'. Which would mean replay next week i guess as no FA Cup replay for us or them. Might mean Cesc and AA are fit...

Bit harsh to award us the 3 points but i agree they have been for-warned about the weather so cant have much of an excuse about not making it down

I'm in an unforgiving mood

It's 174 miles from Bolton to London, and they need to be at the ground by 7pm.... so that's 31 hours to travel 174 miles, at an average speed of 5.6mph, which is WALKING speed!!! no excuses.... walk or forfeit the 3 points

There is no transport out of manchester today and set to be worse tomorrow...but 3 points would be nice, i agree. Rather not play them while boosted about Owen Coyle anyway.

I guess the club have never heard of gritters then

Feckin useless aren't they. This wouldn't have anything to do with safety, it is all down to the 'no win, no fee' wankers that would sue the club in an instant.

Some flights into and out of Dublin are being suspended because of worsening weather conditions. All manchester flights are now off. Many London flights delayed... :?

Weather here is expected to go "Winter Level Fucked" in the next couple days.

If there are no flights from Dublin to London on Saturday morning and you then hear about a mass murder in Dublin Airport, it was me.

Can the club get the Gritters up to the concourse?
There's those anti-terror barriers which prevent any Vehicle getting near. Can they be removed?

I think we're meant to escape it aren't we? Heard south & south west are going to be hit but i think London is far enough east to avoid it.

I assume so... Fire Engines can supposedly get to the ground via the clock end bridge

Sorry, completely wrong! They're now forecasting snow for the best part of the day in London tomorrow! Don't bode well for the game. Watch this space i suppose....
