Watched Pires last Nnght ... and cygan too

Post by gunners-need-steel »

Watched bobby playing for villareal last night ... had an OK game, but was yards off the pace .... good to see him back playing again ...

watching his unique runs brought back many fond memories of his exploits for the arse ... best of luck to bobby .. thanks for the memories ...

On another note, Cygan was in central defence and had a decent and confident game ... so, I am not sure villareal feel they lost out paying 2m for him .. also, shows that he had fundamental quality, but just couldn't get going for the arse ...

I don't know if you know this but Cygan was voted villareal player of the season last year.

you're probably right, should have replaced him properly though. in the unbeaten season he got 23 (i think?) goals. im not sure if we can ever expect that from our from our boys we currently play out wide

No certainly not. Hleb's on course though, 2 from 3 is alright, and Cesc is 1 from 3 in Premier League.

Both of them are 1 from 1 in CL. Not too bad eh? But can they keep it up? :?:

I think we may have to begin to realise just how very lucky we were to have players like Bobby, Freddie, THBW14, Sol, Vieira and DB10 all in the one team, all at their absolute peak. 8)

It happens very rarely (Mousers in the late 70's/early 80's, manure in the mid 90's) and might not happen again for us for a long long time, if ever... :?

Jaysus, that's a bit negative isn't it??

Maybe Wenger is building our next great team as we speak, huh? :)

Maybe... :|

Bobi first goal was in his first compeitive start for Villarreal in a 2-0 win over Barcelona and went as far as saying that the goal will not come close to making up for his UCL Final heartbreak.
