FAV AWAY GROUND VISITED

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

My favourite away ground has to be Villa Park, always a good "football" atmosphere there rather than the "we fookin hate... blah blah" shite at manure land and the over rated atmosphere at Anfield.

Anfield for me as it reminded me soooo much of Highbury in a way but of course Highbury was special
We may of lost when i went but it was singing all the time & the people round there was quite nice & welcomeing
I def want to go there again before it shuts & i hope to go in a couple of weeks to the next match there (against Arsenal)

Oh yeah, horizontal rain driven by gale force winds  - nice :D

As far as my favourite goes it'll have to be OT because of two matches we played there, firstly one which PV4 still cites as one of the best atmospheres he can remember in an Arsenal shirt, when we played the Spuds in the FA semi and I was hoarse by half-time never mind 90mins and of course beating the Mancs themselves in their own backyard, depite their efforts to kick us off the park, to win the 2002 double - sweet as :P

Anfield.
Great atmos from both sets of fans. Great banter but respect shown. Our 3-1 win also helped.

I always look forward to pompey for the atmosphere they generate, and I used to love the way they welcomed henry.

Barnsley was just like that in 1995 at a League Cup tie. Absolutely fucking awful. Pompey have now put a roof on the away end so we might stay dry this year.

My favourite away ground is Blackburn as it's not like the other new identikit grounds (Derby, So'ton, Boro etc)
