Would rather keep Gilberto because he knows the squad and the Premier League so it wouldn't be a gamble :)

Well, first off, I'd say that there is no proof that the player in question is Gilberto. However, if it was him that Inter wanted, I'd say that Arsene has probably made the correct choice.

As forum regulars will know, Gilberto doesn't set my world alight but at the same time, I do think he is a good player and he is certainly a player I'd rather have in my squad than not. On the other hand, signing Adriano would be a huge gamble. He is 5th (or whatever number it is) choice at Inter for a reason. His mentality is all wrong and is way off match fitness. As we've seen with Pennant and Bentley, Arsene won't waste his time with players of that ilk.

All in all, I think it was probably the right decision from Le Boss.

The Times said Flamini which I have to admit was a bit odd.

On Arsenal.com though he did say that inter wanted one of arsenal's players for adriano but arsene wouldn't tell us who that player was, and said that he didn't want to lose that player for adriano.

have just seen articles on the web (probably more rumours) that it was actually rosicky ...

IMHO, dont think adriano is a good gamble for either gilberto or rosicky ..

adriano is just going downhill and it would be to much of a risk plus we need gilberto

I heard it was Song too but Arsene was quoted as saying he wouldn't wish him on his worst enemy.

On a separate note I fell of my chair last night having heard that Pascal Cygan got voted Villareal Player of the Year last season. !!

I was being told all last year how great he was playing out there, saw him on sky last week and he looked very good i must say. Its a different game and style so maybe it suits him better.

Good luck to him, i would not want him back, just like forlan
