ON A POSITIVE NOTE..........

Post by gus ceasar is a legend »

I think we have all been grumpy bastards lately (I'm getting married in just over a week what's your excuse?) So I just wanted to change the ambience here a little bit in my own small way!

I am dead chuffed with the team huddles! Watched on the telly last night and it was great seeing the boys all smiling, laughing and congratulating each other! Kind of made me feel a bit easier about the season ahead & that what we might lack in depth we may well replace with a togetherness! Also the way Dudu9 was congratulated for not only his goal but his part in Cesc's really made me smile! Good work fellas!

The team do seem to have a belief in each other and I so hope that belief helps this year! In fact I know it will!

I know a lot of us have been focusing on perceived negatives (ahem realisms) going on at the club and yes I'm one of the worst! However let's not forget we are ARSENAL and let's keep driving the boys on!

There aint that better!

Yeah, a few of us have been a bit on the negative side over the past week or so, to say the least.
Remember that bloke from Dads Army- WE'RE DOOMED!!!

But hey , we qualified easily and for this morning at least, I'm a happy consumer!

Have to say that although last nights performance wasn't the best I've seen, the lads did actually look more like a team. Which can only be a good thing eh ?

So, well done to the lads, and bring on the next victims.

COME ON ARSENAL

Congratulations Mr Gus, I wish you both a long and happy marriage.

Why must you be always so overoptimistic you two? Clearly our players do the huddle so they can insult each other outside the manager's hearing and those congratulating each other, trying to get more face time on TV for their summer move to the mighty Charlton. :P It is good to see the lads work and fight for each other, it is vital we keep that going when things get tough.

Congratulaions Gus! Have a great day and a wonderful life together, mate. 8)

Great post there too. The team spirit is sooooo much better now THBW14 is gone. I too was grinning like a fool watching the lads celebrate with Dudu9. Cesc looked so genuinely happy it was great. :)

If we could just strengthen the squad a little, and add it to that team spirit we could really do well this season.

Unfortunately, it looks like we won't be strengthening the squad. :( And while team spirit can get you a result it can't carry you for a whole season.

If AW would just sign a couple of great players we could be massive. :|

Anyway, this is a positive thread ( ) so f*ck the negativity for once. I'm still foolishly confident that we will win something this season. I don't know why but it's a gut feeling. :?

COME ON YOU F*CKING GOONERS!!!

Best wishes Gus and commiserations to your soon to be long suffering wife...

All I can say about last night is that watching on Internet streams is one of the pure joys in life.

The picture was about the best this season, the commentary was in English. The only problem was the action kept stopping every 5 seconds, while the commentary continued! So Theo drove the ball in to the area and then....their celebrating!

Ah well, we're through, job done.

Well played Gus. I hope the Doris knows what she's getting herself in to.

I digress; it is good to see the spirit in the team so high. In fact, it is worryingly high. Did anyone else see the whole team trying to make love to Eduardo after scoring his goal? That's camaraderie that I'm just not used to!

Congratulations Gus and may the force be with you :D

This may be a ploy though by the Doris to get her hands on your season ticket, remember what happened when you took her to the Emirates for the Emirates Cup and she legged it down to the front when RVP scored and was screaming and jumping up and down

Remember one thing, once your hooked, everything becomes one way - the Doris way

Anyway, I thought the boys were great last night
