Who hits the "I like this" button on Arse.com

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Who hits the "I like this" button on Arse.com

Post by SteveO 35 »

Purely for my daily dosage of Wenger diatribe I was reviewing the Professor's great words after yesterday's Dross in the Dragao when I noticed that a total of 988 people have hit the "I like this" button

Please can any of you brave enough come forward and admit it.....and better still can you specifically state which bit you liked so much.

As a refresher perhaps it could have been one of these little gems:

On the 2-1 defeat...
"Both teams showed great spirit" (yes I noticed our spirited efforts to string 3 passes together at 1-2 down also)

"It is unfortunate we lost this game" (I'd say not having a GK worthy of the name was a little more negligent that unfortunate but never mind)

"When the referee gives the free-kick he has to allow us a chance to defend it" (you'd never catch one of our players taking a quick free kick - well apart from Henry against Wigan, Chelsea and Villa that is)

Or maybe just maybe it's the one quote that actually made me hit the I Like This button:

"From a situation where there was no goal chance at all, and no free-kick as well, the referee gives them just a goal. It is difficult to understand, but maybe I am not intelligent enough."

Well now 989 people like this.....

I think it would be more telling if we could also see who doesn't like it!

"Wenger - I have two world class 'keepers" - 89 people like this. 1,337,999 don't like this.

i hit the i like this button.

i agree with the referree part. in both henry goals, there was already a wall in front of the ball. yesterday there was ONE arsenal player near the ball and the referree went on his way to prevent him from reaching it. it was ridiculous.

i'm pissed with arsene, but i loved the way he had a go at the referree.

so yes, i hit the "i like this" button

I'd love it if they had a "I dislike" button (I'd also like that on facebook.... "A N Other has just fucked 12 more goats in Farmville"... Dislike!"

Should the advantage not go with the attacking team tho bg ? I mean why should they be penalised cos the offending team aint ready for them ? Wenger is a hypocrite......either it was ok for henry to score that way when he was with us and it was ok last night for porto too or it is wrong no matter who it involves. He cant have it both ways   :x

mate, if the goalkeeper fouls the striker outside the area like lehmann in the CL final is it ok if the striker hits the free kick before the other keeper comes into place? i know i'm a bit extremist here, but not only we had no time for anyone to come near the ball but the ref stood in sol's way deliberatly, just look at the replay. he acted like a porto player.

say what you want, that was not fair. now look at henry's goals. there was an entire WALL between him and the keeper (who is always looking ahead, fabianski wasn't even looking at it when they kicked the freekick yesterday) it was a foul INSIDE the area with no one around and they were able to kick it whenever they wanted? i'm not a specialist in football rules, but that is too unfair.

I was thinking today that i haven't had one of wenger's excuses emails for quite a while...sign of the times (and what happened to the alternative version on here also?)

I've always thought Wenger's apparent intelligence was over-rated.

I, too, was wondering that today, and then thinking he rarely sends them after a defeat. :?

agree with you. i actually think he is stupid as a door.

i really can't understand how he managed to put together two of the greatest teams i ever saw when he had more money.

i think it was luck, you know?

Intelligence in the academic sense and intelligence in the footballing sense are not the same thing. See Gascoigne and Rooney.

As for Wenger, he is increasingly living off a reputation for footballing greatness that is receding into a distant past.

Kev's Online Editorial says it all. Arsenal increasingly conduct their dealings on non-dealings like a Blue Square Prem team, than an EPL team, as the farce with Sorenson's non arrival shows.

Not to mention Givens.

And No ! I wouldn't hit the 'I like it' button if they paid me.
