Turning point

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Turning point

Post by digger »

I've got a good feeling about this season now. Even our poorer performers recently (Clichy, Almunia) played quite well, and we were very mature after Ramsey's unfortunate injury (wishing him the very best). As soon as the game restarted, we were just focussed on winning.

Stoke was one of three games I was worried about this season - the other two being City at home and Sperz away. The race is back on! :)

I thought Clichy was quality today just like 2 years ago.

Get well soon Rambo.

That was a bad moment, but generally he looked better than he has.

Is it just me who's feeling very proud & "patriotic" tonight?! We are The Mighty Arsenal & we'll always prevail over dirty, cheating thugs.

Just blaring out a rousing chorus of Good Old Arsenal; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUncUQn7P20

Come on Boys! :barscarf:

If Mrs Chippy had not been tasked with having the tea ready for just after the game I would have posted a thread with the same title. There is normally a defining moment in a season that makes a huge difference. I think the way the team responded after Ramsey's injury was it. The contrast to B'ham is obvious.
The other two have harder run ins and our boys are now fired up, literally with a vengeance.

We have a real captain that doesn't sit down in a huff when he should be firing the team up. Well played Cesc. Well played. 8)

I liked the way Cesc got everyone together at the end. It was good to see Sol adding his bit too. In some respects Sol could prove to be AW's best signing this season. Not so much the playing side of things as to what he says to individuals and how he has that winning mentality. I think he is a real benefit in that respect.

I think this could really galvanise our team and give them a cause to fight for.

It's definitely on now!!! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

(didn't think I'd be saying that back in September)

Yip I commented on another thread that initially the sol signing was ridiculed however I can now see what he appears to be adding!!

You wouldn't know he has been out of top level footy for ages the way he has slotted back in!!

He must give presence and stuff in the dressing room too!!

Lastly did you see his celebrations at the last goal?? He's a winner and a gooner to boot, the club needs that!!
