New feature for the Mag
How about a small section (doesn't even have to be a half page) dedicated to us forum members.
Each issue one forum member gets to recall their fondest memory of being a fan.
It could be anything even if not an event during a game i.e. A good piss up after a game, funny stuff that has happened to them en-route etc.
Could be a laugh!
What do you all think? Can we convince the Ed to give us a little bit of the mag?

funnily enough there is an article about the forum in the next issue. as for a new feature... a quarter page to say what your favourite game was and why? you know what i would prefer. we start a particular thread on a subject for each issue and then in that issue we have a page where i print the most interesting responses. it would be a good way of regularly plugging the forum in the mag. so let's start with favourite arsenal game and the reason why. let's see what's posted and then i'll make a decision on whether it'll make for a good read. that is down to you people.
and just this once. try and keep your english tidy! saves a bit of work this end when we are preparing material for print. hey, i even use capital letters in 'talking reds'!

God... It is almost impossible to pick a favourite game.
I guess my most memorable would be the home tie to Boro' at the beggining of 2004-05 season (I think thats right).
My wife had been complaining that the season had started as she hates me watching football on the TV. " I can't see what is so good about it" was her regular contribution. "That's because you've never been to a live game" was my frequent response. Then the idea came to me
I'll take her up the arse'.
After her initial whinging she reluctantly agreed to come to a game with me. She entered the Highbury area and enjoyed looking around the stalls, insisting on buying some chocolate raisins for during the game.
When we went to take our seats I let her go first so that she would see the ground in all its splendour without a fat bloke being in the way. "Not bad" was the response. I new she liked it though!
The game was going well, Titi opened the scoring only for Boro' to equalise on the stroke of half time. Not long into the second half and we were 1-3 down and things were not looking good. She asked if I was alright, clearly I wasn't. And then it happened. Probably the best 20 minute spell of footballing genius I have ever witnessed. Bergkamp, Pires, Reyes and Titi performing at their very best to turn a likely defeat into a stunning victory. I don't think I've ever heard Highbury quite as animated as during that second half. But the best bit was as we left the ground when she said "That was brilliant, can we come again?"
She's a member now and whenever she comes we always play well and win well. Happy Days!

As the gooner.ed has often said before, there is nothing stopping forum members contributing to the fanzine anyway. You just need to send stuff in and if it's good enough (do you understand that bit Smoothy?
) it will most probably get printed - be it a letter, article, joke or song.
Not sure there is really the need for a 'forum members' special in the magazine (I don't think I can handle all the fame) - although I do like gooner.ed's subsequent idea to start something on here and see where that takes us.

My favourite game (so far!) would have to be the 20001/20002 season crunch tie against Manchester Utd in the league. A mate had let me down at the last minute so my missus kindly volunteered to come along to what was her third game at THOF.
Things started badly when Manure scored in the first half and their mob sang their guts out at us about not winning “Fuck allâ€

My favourite game is quite recent... last year infact - i had just returned to Uni in Liverpool for my third year and as it was a Saturday it was an excuse for a major session....thinking i would be ok for ManUre v Arsenal the next day...several snakebites, Guinness', sambucas and tequilas later i was absolutely steaming... in fact i was positively s*itfaced!! Anyhow i wake up the next morning with a head feeling like its just been shagged by a donkey... and still very drunk!
I make it to lime street station just in time to catch the train to Manchester to meet my mate (Gooner_mojo) at the station as he is coming up from London. Anywho i get off one stop early and think i can walk it...wrongly!! so there i am in Manchester and i havent got a scooby doo as to how to get to the station and i cant find a cab for love nor money! My mate is calling me constantly asking me where i am and i responding with such pointless answers as ''next to a building with a blue crane!'' eventually i find the station and him (hes not impressed as he knows we are gonna miss kick off and even more pissed off that i have both the match tickets too!!) We get the tram to Old trafford and my mate tells me we are running to the stadium (i being still drunk agree) so there we are running to old trafford... much to the bemusement of those we pass and i am slowly turning green to the point i have to stop running or ill chuck up
So we switch to a brisk walk and as we approach our gate to get in we hear the away fans cheeiring so we sprint into the concourse and look at the TV screens where Gilberto is in the process of slipping and missing his penalty (now i was thinking this day was gonna be an absolutely shit one!) So we get to our seatsd where i slump into it and dont move until half-time at which point i decide to give one of Old traffords toilets a new look (the colours from the vomit were amazing!) Feeling much better i get back for the start of the second half where i sing my arse right up until Adebayor scores and the place goes mental and im screaming so hard my headache quickly shuts me up! Cue pandemonium which doesnt let up until well after the final whistle! It was the best (and worst for obvious reasons) day of my life!!

my fave game was the one against spurs (i cant rememba wich year) but i just remember feeling like utter sh*t before the match thinking we were going to lose and all my schoolfreinds were gunna laugh at me/ beat seven shades of sh*t outta me. we got ther and i threw up and immediately felt better.
After all this was the spuds i reasoned but by the time the match was approaching i had a hoorible feeiling again.
ill never forget the complete sheer relief i had when we scored the second and when the third went in i was as happy as id ever been.
