The Wayne Rooney's Knee Watch Thread.

Post by Captain Fabregas »

The Manchester United and England star striker is suffering from an inflamed tendon.

It has not stopped him playing but is causing increasing discomfort and swells up after games.

Rooney, 24, limped heavily as he left Old Trafford four hours after Sunday's 2-1 Prem win over Liverpool, having scored United goal No 33 this term.

Tendons tend to go "twang" if they've been played on once inflamed don't they? United without Rooney are average, at best.

But you see, he's the tough kind of player who will play on regardless.

That reads a lot like you may agree.

But its true of all teams. Players like Rooney have become a rarity.

Gallas did the same and now look at him.

ALthough I reckon with rooney he'll play through the pain until the end of the season and then break down in time for the WC. Darrent Bent and Heskey, Englands no.1 strikeforce

AA23 played though injury for us, and still is if reports are to be believed. I suspect that he figures he has the whole summer to recover :)

Yep.

Always good to see a player to do that, and almost never happens in this sport. Almost as if people don't value it.

Over here if there's footage of a player getting his scalp stapled back together and running back onto the pitch he'd be praised.
