I agree that the whole process wasn't ideal. What concerned me first was the fact that after booking the package via Thomas Cook, you received an e-mail confirming the "request" only. I wasn't happy with this tentative response so went straight to the online box office to sort the tickets out separately, even though Id already included them in the package. The package was from Luton at the time.
I must give credit the Helen at the call centre for the club because she really did sort it all out. Cancelling what needed to be cancelled and switching the flights to Gatwick at my request. I drove her mad all day, but she came through.
Whilst on the subject of booking a flight in your name whilst the season ticket is in someone else's, a friend managed this and hopefully it will all be ok.
Sounds like you had a nightmare, but just offering some balance. Helen did well for me!
More Arsenal Box Office Chaos
ARSENAL BOX OFFICE
Corrupt, incompetent, rude, lazy are just some of the names to use for this useless bunch of tossers, and trust me it hasnt changed for 40 years.
When Paul Johnson ran the Travel Club things were a bit better but apart from that they have always been rubbish.
Now add the above to Thomas Cook who have been handed the Arsenal account on a silver platter but don't really want it unless they can take everyone AND do euro finals and u have a recipe for disaster.
Book with Flight options ,the only people who know what to do and have been doing it for over 15 years.

the box office buffoons have been a hobby horse of mine for many years
ivan gazidis either replies direct to my emails or gets someone else like the club secretary davidmiles to do so . in past have had replies from dein and edelman.
the one senior official who never replies is mr weasel the box office manager.
what is odd is that the likes of gazidis are always defending him quoting eg survey results praising box office service.
i would urge any gooner to write to gazidis with complaints about box office in the hope that one day something is done about the arrogant could not care less about fans mr weasel.

I also booked ticket inclusive travel to Barca last Tuesday 23/3. In the process they 'lost' the fax twice. Anyway all booked and paid for on Tuesday and I received the most amateur comfirmation ever, whci whilst giving our names and acklowedging we had paid, was largely just a twice re-written version of the booking periods fro tickets!!!!!
Anyway prompted by this thread I AGAIN called the box office and all they could confirm was that they had us listed and we were on the 'flight manifold' (does that mean we have seats on the wing?!!!!)
Apparently Thomas Cook are still booking people and until they finish doing this they will not send out any itineraries.
NOW the best bit - Thomas Cook "don't normally send out itineraries until four days before travel" Doooh! They will be hoping to send out itineraries on Thursday (the day before a 4 day Easter break!!!) for travel on Tuesday!!!!!!!
Whilst we might get everything we need and the travel arrangemnets might run smoothly, the whole appraoch is really, really unprofessional.
