William Gallas is still sidelined after picking up a groin injury at Blackburn Rovers on August 19. In the 24th minute at Ewood Park, the Arsenal captain hurdled a challenge from Roque Santa Cruz and went down in agony as he landed. He immediately called for assistance from the bench and, a few minutes later, hobbled off to be replaced by Philippe Senderos.
