Wigan Athletic pair Hugo Rodallega and Charles N`Zogbia will be playing for Sundays opponents Arsenal next season after a deal has been agreed to see them make the switch once the season is over.

According to a source the deal is worth £22 million to the Latics and both players have already passed medicals at Arsenal, agreed personal terms and been shown around their new place of employment.

This is a massive blow to Wigan supporters at the end of a tough season to see their two most creative players leaving, hopefully the club is acting to replace the pair with quality and to this end Latics General Manager John Benson is in Honduras checking on several players including left sided midfield man Emilio Izaguirre, Oscar Boniek Garcia and Jonny Palacios.

The Latics have only scored 30 league goals so far this season and between them Rodallega and N`Zogbia have 14 of those with Rodallega scoring important goals in 1-0 wins against West Ham, Sunderland, Liverpool and Burnley and the 1-1 draw with Blackburn underlying his importance to the team this season.

Don't mind the two players, but I don't think they are Arsenal quality tbh.

It cant be real look at the amount of money involved, there is no way Wenger would pay £22 million

Rodallega is decent, rather him than bentender next season - infact rather two FIT sritkers/forwards over anything we have now.

They'd be good squad players. Strength in depth is what is needed. Rather have those two on the bench then any of the following Vela, Eduardo, Traore, Merida, Silvestre. Pity it's not true

In Wenger's Pre-Wigan interview on Arsenal TV Online he was asked about Rodallega. AW said he was an admirer but was not interested, especially not in a Striker. He then said "we have already done what we wanted to do" - which sounded like a very strong hint that Chamakh has already signed.

N'zogbia would offer you something different imo, he seems to have come on in leaps and bounds since his move to wigan and i think could do a very good job for a top side. Not so sure you would really benefit from signing Rodallega though, good player though he is

ANYBODY would offer us something different lol. we just need two semi-consistant and fit strikers and we'd be more dangerous, look what we've managed with rvp for half a season and bentender for the rest.

i think they'd be better than what we have but i dont think you're going to get world class for 22m no.
