UNHAPPY?? MAKE A STAND. VS FULHAM

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

UNHAPPY?? MAKE A STAND. VS FULHAM

Post by Mr FINSBURY PARK GOONER »

Im fed with all the moaning and no action.

I think its time to make a stand, or bend over and take it for the next couple of seasons.

No I dont want Wenger out.

But I do want some grit in the team.
I do want him to seriously strengthen the team.
I want him to know that all the Goalkeepers at the club are poor.
I want him to know that im not happy with the team.
I want him to know that the club is bigger then him.
I want him to take the FA and Carling Cup more seriously.
I want him to know that medical team are not good enough.

BUT I ALSO BLAME THE BOARD.

Nina Smith timing of putting up her shares.
Kronke's silence
Peter hill woods badly timed comments.

THIS SHOULD BE ADDRESED.

Arsenal Vs Fulham. I dont know about you but i will not be staying for another lap of dis-hounor.

blame wenger all you want, but some of the players have mugged us and him (wenger) of big time.

So boo the Goalkeepers.
Come up with a chant demanding some serious action.
I dont know....but either do something or lets shut up.

RedAction can get up a banner,
The editors of the gooner can make a great magazine.

Im sure someone can get the point across.

Who bought these players in and then 'rewarded' them with contract extensions?

Buck stops with one man and one man only.

I think a stadium exit before the "lap of appreciation" [that's code for a lop for losers] would say everything.

I'll leave a thank you note for Van Persie, Vermaelen, Cesc and Nasri and the rest of them can applaud the empty seats

Whatever happened to the old fashioned idea of supporting your team??

Sure, we're all pissed off at surrendering a two goal lead v Wigan. We're all pissed off at our recent lack of success.

But FFS appreciate what we do have at Arsenal.

Maybe it would be better if we were just a mid-table team (as we were for the majority of my 45 years of supporting Arsenal). That way, we wouldn't have high expectations. And we wouldn't get disappointed.

The idea of walking out before the lap of honour, is just disgusting.

tbh i doubt there would be too many to leave considering a lot of them have left long b4 the final whistle anyway.

Where as it's perfectly OK for them to trudge off in Barca with a token acknowledgment for the fans, or as I recall at Stoke in the pissing rain for two players (one being Campbell) to clap the supporters who'd given up their weekend despite the complete lack of respect shown to the competition by Wenger.

Can I suggest how you would make a stand then. I will still be there supporting my team next season, just as I have been for 30 years. Do you suggest I write a letter and just receive a standard reply with a pre-printed signature at the bottom telling me everything's just fine and that we have a great, manager and stadium ?

How would you describe us now then, challengers? Don't think so.

Expectations come with the second highest wage bill in the land and highest ticket prices in Europe.

They ripped the soul out of the club with the move on the proviso we'd compete with Europe's elite - we can't even compete in North London thesedays.

If you buy a new car and it turns about to rubbish, it not really your fault is it?

Show me a manager with 100% or even 70% success in the transfer market or bringing youth players up to grade i'll show you a liar.

What youth players apart from Cesc has Wenger made first team regulars? You can use examples from his whole time at Arsenal.

How do you judge success in the transfer markets? Trophies?

In that case he has a 100% failure record these last 6 yrs.

I do agree with you. ill support Arsenal no matter what happens for a lifetime.

This is a messege to all those who are going to moan, moan, moan.

I gurantee you, at the Fulham game no one will do nothing.

but on the online gooner, they'll slate the Arsenals greatest ever manager. and it really is not all his fault.

Not as disgusting as the countless, gutless "performances" I've had to endure all season long.

Surely 60,000 applauding these players off at the end of the season is a license for AW and the board to continue churning out this utter shit for another year (or more)?

And I'm sorry, but finishing in a mid-table spot in 1965 has absolutely nothing to do with the present, and shouldn't be used as an excuse everytime we continue to fail.

Well yes we are challengers, clearly, we can still mathematically win the league with 3 games to play, so yes that's a challenge over 38 games isn't it?

some people need to have a look at themselves, yes we are dissapointed today, i feel gutted, sick to the stomach, but we have definitely challenged!!

I love this club so much, i want it to do well more than anything, but abandoning them and slagging them off isn't the way to behave.

We need a goalkeeper that can play in goal and two centre halves though or we will fall short again

Can one of the how "how very dare you" brigade please respond to my point above in the same way I've responded to yours.

Its a 2 way street between players and fans - something you would do well to remember when you're not lost in hero worship mode
