At least one Arsenal fan got three points on Sunday

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

£60 fine and the first three points i have ever had whilst driving since 1989....wankers.....

Yes i know.....its my own fault.....but seriously....there were very few cars and the road was clear.....no road workers in site and its not as if i drive like a *word censored* anyway.....bitter to say the least

bloody hell - that is harsh mate.

I dont know if there is any truth in this but some once told me that those 50 mph average cameras are there to protect the wrokforce and so they could only apply them when they were actually working on the road????

probably complete bollocks but might be worth checking before you cough up the readies??

Have any of you lads ever tried "road angel" ? It is supposed to tell you about speed cameras or guns ahead and would surely be worth the expense of buying it ?

Yep got done straight after the Wigan game on Sunday by Lancashire Police heading home down the M58 at 15.50. Needless to say my mind was elsewhere, and the old honda was cruising beautifully, then i realised my speed, slowed down, checked the rear view to see a white volvo searing up behind me, pulled into the inside lane then he blue lights me. Didn't claim extenuating circumstances of losing to Wigan as I thought he would double my points/fine. Just relieved he didn't clock me a few minutes earlier. Sunday was a fucking outstanding day

Can I send my fine to Fabianski?

Hmm, I can beat that, I live in a permitted area, and it's nearly impossible for me to park outside my block of flats, I normally have to park around the corner (where I can't see it) (and don't normally drive it during week, or pass it when I walk to work), anyway, I parked it around the corner, after getting back from playing football one Sunday, and then went to drive it the following Saturday, and, yes, you've guess it not there, thought the bastard was nicked.

Anyway, it was only then, I noticed a bay suspension notice, then after alot of ringing around, it was in Bromley-by-Bow carpound, it cost me nearly £400.00 to get it out, I tried, unsuccessfully, to get it back, but didn't, as I should have noticed the signs on the Sunday, when I parked it. (Obviously I'm wise now, but generally who does look, you just park the car and go home) :?

Why they can't obtain a contact number for me to move it, (from the Permit dept,) is beyond me, would have saved me aload of dough, but that's the way they make their money. (*word censored*) :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

my mate got done 34 in a 30. Was usually a 40 but were building some flats along the road and put a 30mph limit up and at 11 at night he got done. He was not happy.

Once broke down half way to the reebok stadium, R.A.C got me back on my way, got there late so just parked anywhere, missed the first half hour of a drab 1-1 to come out to a £30 parking ticket. God i love away days.

3 parking tickets i've had thanks to following Arsenal. Bolton, coventry and highbury.

As if it doesn't enough.lol

Road Angels are no good for Average speed cameras.

The way to get round these fuckers is to religiously change lane after you pass EVERY single average speed camera (means changing lane every 500 yards or so). They can only work out your speed accurately from a fixed point, ie, lane 1 at camera A to lane 1 to camera B.

I genuinely thought the ones on the M25 were dummies though... I've done more than 60 through them a few times :? (still got no points)
