WE WILL KNOW FOR CERTAIN COME MARCH AND APRIL. UNTIL THEN, I SUGGEST WE ENJOY BOTH THE CURRENT PERFORMANCES AND BEING TOP - BUT LET'S NOT GET TOO CARRIED AWAY JUST YET.

REMEMBER, THAT'S THE MISTAKE THE SPUDS ALWAYS MAKE - AND DON'T WE LOVE IT WHEN IT ALL GOES PEAR-SHAPED FOR THEM!! 8) LET'S LEAVE THE BRAGGING TO OTHER TEAMS AND JUST BE QUIETLY CONFIDENT THAT WE CAN PLAY A REAL PART IN THE TITLE RACE THIS SEASON - AGAINST MOST PEOPLE'S EXPECTATIONS.

I DON'T WANT TO DEFLATE ANYONE, BUT THE TIME TO GET REALLY EXCITED IS IF WE ARE STILL IN OR NEAR THIS POSITION TOWARDS THE END OF THE SEASON. UNTIL THEN, I WILL BE KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED BUT TAKING NOTHING FOR GRANTED.

I'm convinced.

That's the first time we've been behind all season and we turned it around. No chocolate soldiers melting in the white heat of the North London derby.

Lest not forget also, despite not losing to them for a long time we usually draw at SHL. By the time we're playing Man Ure, Chav$ki and Liverpool we should have bags of confidence.

We're gonna be picking up something next spring and it won't be herpes.

Though I didn't necessarily say the title, so I'm covering my arse there.

Seville is going to mean alot. If we beat them, we can be successful. Confidence levels considered, it is going to be a tough game..

i for one have been convinced since the start, just had a feeling wich is why i put £20 on us to win the league, will be nice pay day.
just seems all the guys are taking on more responsibility, i dont know if th14 was hindering them by his attitude or whether it was his stature in that they all looked at him to sort it out when things wern't looking as rosey as they could. Now they know its up to them and only them, they seem like a new unit, hell even a proper team, a team of mates who look out for each other, on and off the pitch.

also wouldn't mind another champs league final aswell but dont wana get carried away in my own arsenal world.

Great start to the season. Not playing catch up like last season.

I'm not getting carried away though. Our weakness is the depth of the squad and its a marathon we're in, not a five game sprint.

Fabregas is looking superb. How the hell did Micah Richards get player of the month above him?

oh yeah that one slipped my mind.

I'm greatly enthusiastic about this bunch we've got here now, probably more than any previous. I can't put my finger on why, probably because it's a bunch of youngsters that have risen from the ashes of great side, amid a tidal wave of obituaries regarding our ability to compete. That and the fact that the football they play is of the finest quality that any neutral would want to watch them.

A can draw some parallels with George's side in the late 80s in that it took about three seasons to reach the standard of title contenders. That side remember were reaching cup finals and had periods at the top of the table, but didn't reach the standard until '89.

If we look at 2005, with Patrick Vieira leaving as year zero, I think this year could be our '89 of sorts.

Not sure about being title contenders but I do believe that we can improve upon last season. The team are certainly moving in the right direction and the confidence levels are gowing. Sevilla will be a stern test and maybe after then we will be able to gauge just how good we are.

Things are certainly on he up

I have always been a believer that we are much better than folks give us credit for .. even some online gooner forum members ...

Its a game of 11 Vs 11, but many footie people get lost in these wars of known names, eg: we havent signed any known names so we must lack ambition and are not going anywhere .. look how well flamini is playing, a favourite bashee (TM 8) ) of many gooners who reckon he is shite ...

But, being top of the league in sept proves nothing .. only confirms that these guys have developed some belief and steel ... and have a good run of games ..

I reckon that belief and confidence were the big unknowns for them at the start of the season being a young and unproven team, but starting so well has been great ... Now, if they can keep up the confidence for another month or two with great performances, then we will know we have the real deal and must certainly pick up a trophy or two by the end of the season ..
