Havard Nordtveit, Kieran Gibbs and Armand Traore.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Havard Nordtveit, Kieran Gibbs and Armand Traore.

Post by All_Arsenal_1886 »

I have just watched highlights of Arsenal Reserves first 3 games of the season on ATVO.

Results were:

Fulham 1-2 Reserves
Simpson 1,
Traore 27.

Reserves 2-0 Portsmouth
Barazite 38,
Watt 76.

Reserves 2-3 Birmingham
Traore 60,
Nordtveit 87.

After watching the highlights i am hoping we get to see Havard Nordtveit, Kieran Gibbs and Armand Traore play in the Carling Cup next Tuesday agaist Newcastle.

In the first game against Fulham Havard Nordtveit captained the Reserves on his debut After praise from Arsene Wenger, and a good performance he put in.
Kieran Gibbs who you may all remember from the Emirates Cup during pre-season had an very good game both going foward and getting back to defend.
As for Armand Traore who has been praised by Gooners already this season, he was the best player capping it of with a great goal, and winning us the game 2-1.

Against Portsmouth Havard Nordtveit kept the armband for the second consecutive game and will proberly keep it troughout the rest of the season if he keeps up the good performances.
Kieran Gibbs once again got forward throughout the game, coming close to scoring aswell and Armand Traore had another desent game.
Goal scores were midfilders Nacer Barazite and Debutant Sanchez Watt who was signed on the say so of the legend that is Giles Grimandi.

Although we lost 3-2 to Birmingham it was still a good performance from the Reserves.
Armand Traore scored on the 60th minute to make it 1-1 but unfortunatly lack of consentration from the youngsters after the goal Birmingham scored in the 66th and 69th minute with the captain Havard Nordtveit getting a late conselation goal in the 88th minute.

So i can't wait to see (hopefully) these guys in the Carling Cup this season, and maybe one or two others aswell.

I fancy popping to Brisbane Road and Griffin Park to watch them against the Spuds and the Chavs.

Do the Chavs and Spuds let you in free of charge or is it just Arsenal at Underhill who do such a thing?
