Arshavin for the middle?
As we prepare ourselves for the departure of our best player and the one who scores and creates almost everything my mind turns to who could fill the gap.
I think Andrei should be given the chance to play in there, as he does for his country and did for Zenit before we signed him, it is his natural position and may wake him up again!!
RVP should lead the line with him behind and who knows we might even occasionally have a shot from outside of the box in a game!!!

If we get Yaya,
we still need to a keeper, a CD, a left winger!!!!
'Toure is not going to replace Cesc. He will not play for Arsenal.
'There are very big clubs who are interested and we like these options more.'
Of course they're nice to you!

i was going to do a full XI but i didnt want to come across as a rose-tinted mentalisttel wrote:You forgot Sczezny in goal and a back 4 of Eboue,Campbell,Djourou and Gibbs. I can think of a better defence: Cockwellin, Nordveldt, Bartley, Troare.tel wrote:You forgot Sczezny in goal and a back 4 of Eboue,Campbell,Djourou and Gibbs. Arshavin is too lazy to play the same role as Cesc, if anything he should have been playing along side Cesc or slightly in advance, then you would have the ideal attacking midfield pairing, you have a ball player and someone who can run with the ball, with a defensive midfielder sitting behind them to cover, ideal.
The problem is we don't have a good enough dcm to play 2 such attacking central midfielders against anyone half decent.
