Blackpool Allocation

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Why am I thinking we're gonna get them away on a Wednesday night in December?

Because sods law says the one away game we'd all like to be on a Saturday 3pm in Aug/September or April/May will be in the middle of January on a Monday night during a snowstorm

Fuck it! I'm there whatever happens! The place is teeming with fat northern tarts and saturated in beer 365 days a year! The away trip to end all away trips!

For the record, has anyone took a weekend trip to Blackpool? Whats it like?

My grandad always tells me when he went to Arsenal away games back in the 50s/60s era they stayed in blackpool till midnight (northern games obviously) .. I Was definantly born in the wrong era :( ..

went to blackpool for a while in early summer 2008. everything was shut and the locals all seemed to think they could take us for mugs, as if they thought like all southerners are rich kids from surrey villages who've never had a bad thing happen to them in their lives :?

obviously to go and see the team there would be an experience amongst the other gooners...but that is my personal experience of blackpool
if anyone has more positive stories about the place i wouldn't be offended though :)
