ROSICKY OUT FOR AT LEAST 3 WEEKS. WHO SHOULD TAKE HIS PLACE?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

AS I MENTIONED ON ANOTHER THREAD, A MATE OF MINE WHO WAS AT THE PRESS CONFERENCE AFTERWARDS TOLD ME TOMAS ROSICKY HAS DAMAGED A HAMSTRING AND WILL BE OUT FOR A MINIMUM OF 3 WEEKS.

SO, WHO DO YOU THINK SHOULD REPLACE TOMMY ON THE LEFT? I BELIEVE WENGER WILL EITHER PLAY EDUARDO THERE, OR MOVE HLEB TO THE LEFT WITH EITHER EBOUE (WHO IS FIT AGAIN) OR FLAMINI PLAYING RIGHT (AS DIARRA WILL TAKE HIS CENTRAL BERTH IN THIS SCENERIO).

ALTERNATIVELY, AND MY PERSONAL PREFERENCE, WOULD BE TO PLAY HLEB WIDE LEFT AND WALCOTT ON THE RIGHT. ESPECIALLY FOR THE MATCH AGAINST DERBY WHERE WE WILL NEED TO STRETCH THE RAMS 10 MAN DEFENCE TO FIND ANY SPACE. ALSO, I LIKE THE IDEA OF EDUARDO BEING OUR SUPER-SUB!! :lol: :wink:

I'm thinking Walcott on the left. So should be back around the 10th of Oct? Derby we should win no matter who we play on the left, Carling Cup, away to West Ham, away to Romanian side who we should beat and home game against Sunderland, again should beat. We need someone who can break teams down as I imagine that lot will go to defend so Walcott and Hleb or Hleb and Dudu for most of those.

With our next Prem games being Derby and Sunderland i would play Theo on the left and see how he does.
Although i like the idea of Eduardo aswell.

Eduardo, definitely.

But Rosicky's injury demonstrates the most obvious weakness in our squad, no obivous left-sided back-up in midfield.

Id have to go with Wallcott on the left he could cut inside onto his right foot titi style! He needs a good run out for us- trust me he's gunner be class! 8)

I'd like to see Hleb on the left side and Theo get a run of games, especially as the next few are winnable..Can always bring Edu onto the left side but that makes us a bit less dynamic off the bench..

I think Tommy is a great player but am starting to get worried about the amount of injuries he picks up.He has taken Freddie"s place on the treatment table.
Agree with the comments about Diaby no way should he be playing on the wing.He was the one player who looked really poor last night.Against Derby it must be either Eduardo or Theo
