HANDS UP WHO STILL FANCIES A TAKEOVER !!
In light of Chelski's implosion last week, which should have acted as a small reminder as to the repurcusions of a meglomaniac controlling the reins of your club, AND the announcement yesterday outlining just what a healthy financial position we are in ... anyone still fancy a take over ??!!?.
Maybe those that feel the board are hopeless can start us off ....

Call me mule headed(i've been called a lot worse) if you like but I would still prefer DD(but not the russian) running our club over the current board. Yes I accept that the financial records are impressive but didnt we all say that they would be. I mean that it is not to hard to understand why when you look at the transfer activity over the past few seasons when we have seen more players going out (and quality players at that) than coming in. There has been a suggestion put forward by many fans over the last 2 months or so that the board wanted to hold off on any further player investment until the impressive accounts were released as their own share prices would increase and lets be honest here it is not a big leap to draw that conclusion is it ?

Mule or pig headed is actually an understatement Augie, it's startin to come across as pure arrogance now that you refuse to admit that you were wrong, according to the recent reports there is over 50M which is on hand for AW to spend on players if he wishes but as I've told you about 50M times before it is AW who is not spending it, in fact PHW is in the paper today sayin that him and Danny Fiz had a meeting with AW in June were they asked him what he'd do if they were to hand him 100M to spend on players and he responded by saying that he'd give it right back!
Add to this that the current board haven't taken a dividend on their shares for nearly 30 yrs or somethin, in fact DD was the only director who took a wage and I come to the conclusion that your theory is complete and utter garbage!

Well done Rebel Gooner .. nice to see someone who, in the light of overwhelming evidence has admitted that maybe the club is in better hands as it is.
Augie, the only conclusion I can come to is either DD had very rude photo's of you or you are in fact the bronzed one yourself.
Stop fighting it, learn to live with, be at ease with it.

I don't usually disagree with Augie and I wouldn't like to totally disagree with him here, as he is usually the voice of reason on this forum (like it or not, it's true). DD returning to the Club (I think we all agree that it should be without the Ruski) may or may not be a positive move and he may or may not aid our growth further. The problem is, there is no way of knowing until it actually happens. For that reason, I would argue that we have a board that genuinely supports the Club, has deep roots in the Club and seems to be moving us financially in the right direction...
If it ain't broken, don't fix it. Right?

Well you don't change a winning formula do you ?!?!.... Clearly there were many on here that doubted the board and championed for the return of DD.
It just does not make sense now, given the events at Chelsea as well for people to still support the breaking up of a board that has overseen the move to the new ground and turned us into a football club that is self sufficient.
You ask any supporter of Man U, Chelsea (especially now!!) and Liverpool whether they would like their clubs to be run in the same way as ours I am absolutely sure it would be a resounding YES !!.

The chairman claims Arsene has a £70 million transfer budget, which unless your Chelsea, is a huge sum but Arsene won't spend it and I hope some of it is used to pay off the debt quicker. The board know to give Arsene a free hand and while their pr could use a lot of work, they have shown they know how to run a club, got a new stadium for us and pulling in the profit, great attitude towards it as well.
I never predicted we would be first to have a £200 income in England and next year should be better as well. At least this should reassure those who feared we were struggling for cash, thus the lack of transfers
