Demolition Derby

Post by Belfast Boy »

I know we were off line but it would still be interesting to hear what yas all thought of Saturday's display, only the whipping boys I know but puttin 5 past 'em especially in the manner we did was a joy to behold, a great confidence boost, which can only be a good thing for a growing team, and in fact the fixtures have been kind to us this season as opposed to poor Derby who must feel that they've been ass raped by a professional basketball team, and Ade is startin to pick his spot when finishing and the leap and chest down for his third was f**kin awesome!

We didn't win by six, sack the manager :P We won against a very poor side, did it in style, got Diaby a goal and hopefully we can continue playing well.

Am I the only one who doesn't think we played all that well on Saturday? I'm not implying the scoreline flattered us, because it didn't, but I think we only got in to our second or third gear (presuming we have five...) and also, Derby were utter shite. I'm not getting too carried away with the result, but it was nice to see us taking some chances as opposed to missing all of them, though.

Oh, and a nice clean sheet for Almunia. Still, I think I could have gone in goal and kept a clean sheet against that shower

did any one see the clip on match of the day when they showed where the press had put their cameras for the 2nd half, about 20 behind derby goal and none behind ours, made me chuckle!

Yes I thought that was a classic, I wonder if that makes the Derby County end of season video.

I thought it was a very professional performance.

We could have gone all out as they showed no resistance but when the 5th went in we just settled for keeping the ball and waiting for the final whistle.

Considering that RVP (bench), Hleb, Rosicky, Gilberto and Gallas didn't play just goes to show what level we are playing out.
