i work in a major supermarket. and on monday lee was in the store. i said hi to him and put my hand out and to my dis belief lee just walked straight past me. i said about arsenal and he carried on walking. to say i was a bit upset was a understatment. a player who is an arsenal legend. it hurt big time.

Hey Pal,

Try not to be too upset .. folks in the public eye do encounter all sorts of negative experiences. Some end up being forced to develop ways of protecting themselves, that could be interpreted by their fans as rude/negative etc ...

I am sure if you had met him at an event for gunners, with others there, he would have reacted differently ...

To be fair he probably thought you was trying to sell him car insurance, a loan or asking him if you wanted to try a new pro-biotic yoghurt!
