any updates on TWOY?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I was listening to that gay song at a party last night, amazes me that that song is even remotely related to the arsenal

I heard they've made it louder & added a bunch of new verses. One of which sings the praises of the Diamond Club's lamb cutlets, another pays respect to the Arsenal accountancy department after yet another year of record profits and the third new verse details the variety of methods for us customers to put down a deposit on a flat at Highbury Square.

What do you expect if you insist on going to certain types of parties!

i like it, but for personal reasons, was played at a friends funeral who died in an accident so reminds me of him every home game i go to BUT in terms of building at atmosphere at the grove, its not the greatest of choices

never said it had anything to do with the atmos DURING the game, just that i dont like it full stop.

however, seeing as you brought it up,i do think it makes a difference.think back to some of those big european nights at highbury under the floodlights and then right here right now(fatboy slim) blasted out.it instantly got the hairs on the back of your neck standing on end, hence, everyone was right up for it.
you telling me elvis does that

I hate TWOY to the point I'll wait in the concourse until it's finished. It epitomises everything I dislike about the club since the move. I agree whatever we get won't improve the atmosphere but we must be a laughing stock at the sight of the big screens showing the words with a few hundred waving their scarves.

Do I think it'll be played this season?? Of course it fucking will. :banghead:

I aggree that Fatboy Slims tune worked well but should a tune "Have to get people up for it?" ST Holders or casual ticket buyers we have all slipped into a malaise about vocally supporting the team. If a new tune is chosen we will still have the same grumbles about that, just wait and see...

LATEST UPDATE................

"GREEK giants Panathinaikos have stepped up their bid to sign Arsenal anthem The Wonder of You.

The former Elvis song is set to meet Panathinaikos vice-president Dimitris Gondikas this week, ahead of being offered £25,000-a-week wages as well as a signing-on fee of almost £1m.

Free agent The Wonder of You, 32, has already attracted bids from Juventus, Hamburg and PSG.

But reports in France claim he is interested in joining former Gunners team-mate Gilberto Silva in Greece.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admitted at the weekend he expected The Wonder of You, as well as the four coloured quadrants of the ground, to leave the club before the new season
