Bucharest away - flight (1 night stay) for £229
okay - i posted this on 'for sale and wanted' but no biters and not many views. so as it's a pal of mine who will end up out of pocket, i'm running it here as well.
and if no-one bites by noon it'll be on the main site! apologies for the repetition but here goes (oh and by the way, the club are charging £250.75 for just a one day trip including ticket for just flying in and out on the tuesday, so this is a good deal)
online gooner have been contacted by a fan who - due to work reasons - is unable to travel with flight options next week (leaving early monday from luton, returning after match, arriving luton 1.30 am)
they have paid the £329 for the flight and one night stay, but although flight options won't do a refund, they are willing to do a name change on the booking.
so the flight is on offer for £229 for anyone interested.
there is a chance i might even be going myself, in which case i'll buy you a beer in bucharest as part of the deal!
anyone interested, PM me and i will put you in touch with the seller

I spent 72 hours in Bucharest 3 years ago, 48 of which were spent languishing in a police cell just outside the Airport due to the fact that I had a stamp from The Netherlands in my passport.
What a Fucking experience that was.
Its a beautiful city and all that , but anyone contemplating making the trip be prepared for your worst nightmare.
They hate the English and the police can be somewhat violent.....
Bon Voyage

well i'm going! the flight options trip includes travel to the stadium on the evening of the game and the hotels will be central. i suspect as effectively it's a tour group, there won't be any problems with passports at the airport - they are in the EU now after all.
i can't say that independent travellers won't face problems because i simply don't know, but i think with any foreign city, it's about using your head to avoid obvious trouble/situations. if anyone's worried, i would simply wear civvies rather than colours when venturing out.
from the sound of things i wouldn't travel to the stadium on the evening of the match independently though and even the club have arranged pick up coaches from the centre for independent travellers. flight options have their own equally safe arrangement and have done several bucharest trips with other teams, so they know the score.

Here Here, well done for flying the flag for us Guys and Gals and please stay safeEdgeOfTown wrote:fair play to all who are going on Tues...
Romania on a Tuesday in October isn't the most glamorous of venue's and they've got a somewhat of a nasty reputation. So have a good one, be safe and sing a song for all us ITV-4'ers!!
COME ON YOU REDS!!
