As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Just read a few more articles about the fat russian bastard and now he wants shareholders to get dividends from the club. In the latest editorial Kevin says that this hasnt happened at Arsenal for thirty years as none of the board have ever taken dividends from the club. The young team have really started well and going great, we have the best stadium in Europe, solid life long true genuine fans that have followed the Arse up from generation to generation no matter how the team are doing.
I cannot for the life of me figure out why Dein sold his shares to this fat russian bastard. The fucker has no interest in Arsenal as a football club. He has said he was interested in buying Liverpool at one time! I can see nothing but trouble if he gets to buy the club - we'll end up like manure, still as the fat russian bastard said, it will look nice in his portfolio.
So Dein if you read the online gooner I fucking hate you big time and curse you for fucking up MY club.
I felt great last night after the match, then this morning there's more articles about this fat greedy russian bastard and what he's after which fucks me off!
well said del,, i was one of the guys on here very pro dein but hav changed ,, i still feel the 11 on the pitch are the most important in any club ands thats why i backed a takeover,, i didnt and still dont feel we hav a good enough squad for the long season ahead and for that reason i felt a change was needed,, but not usmanov,, david dein can go and fu*k himself now,, hes going 2 get fu*ked out by usmanov now as well,,,

The answer, I'm afraid is simple: because David "Arsenal is in my blood" Dein wanted the cash. In one fell swoop, he destroyed his previous good work.
I agree with you 100% re Usmanov. The fact that he's now on a charm offensive, complete with references to the George Graham years to prove he's a proper Gooner, and that he has said he would cut Dein loose to maintain good relations with the board, sounds better but I think actually makes things worse.
Playing this line will give the major shareholders more of an excuse to sell, and it will only take one of them to crack and cash in, and Usmanov could get control of the club.
None of this is going to happen any time soon, but things could get more active around Easter next year. All thanks to lovely David Dein.
Cheers Rebel, do you think Dein wants to destroy the club? He must be full of hate - cant he see what he's done by selling his shares to this fat money grabbing bastard.
PS. Rebel can I get a job of being the bra for the Holloway Twins?

money talks del,, and you wait till next year and see how brave our directors are
ps,, trying 2 get that bra off
Deins a prick, he sold out through greed and also as a way of saying a big FUCK YOU to the current board. Unfortunately the fat Russian mobster will eventually take control. It will be interesting to see which of the current board sells out first. My money is on Lady Bracewell-Smith.
Once again, he isn't Russian, he is Uzbekistan! He was willing to invest in Man U as well and he has said he won't invest cash in the club so there is... no good side to this one. Unless Dein gets sacked, that will be nice

never could figure out why something as valuable as a *word censored* is (even more valuable than diamond and whole countries), could be used as a derisory word ...
I must research the history of this usage of the word .. whoever started this usage must have been a dimwit ...
do you know how much diamond has been sacrificed for it ? even whole states have been sacrificed on account of it .. not to talk of wars it has started, etc ...
for crying out loud, one should be happy to be called a *word censored* .. no ?

Gunners need steel will soon be appearing in the vagina monologues
Dangerous times with Usamanov on the board. I haven't read that he thinks Arsenal should pay dividends, if he said it, it hardly fits in with his current charm offensive.
I used to think Dein was one of the club's strongest assets, but like many on here, my opinion of him has changed considerably. Usmanov seems ready to ditch DD after he has got his shares. Although I don't feel sorry for DD, it shows how much Usmanov's word means to him. I am sure he promised DD, prior to purchase, that he would lead the Uzbekistan charge into the Arsenal board room.
Perhaps we should adopt Borat as the club's new mascot.
We all know Uzbeks and Kazaks hate eachother so Borat wont be welcome as mascot. Sorry to lighten the mood.
I agree with you all, DD was a good Arsenal bloke in my eyes when he resign from the board but since teaming up with Usmanov and selling his shares to him im begining to change my opinion. I think this bloke should be kept at arms length from our beloved club. It would be poetic justice if DD was sacked as chaiman of Red and White holdings but it would only prove how underhanded Usmanov is. Why change a winning formula? I hope the board doesnt sell out
