Back non-league day!!!

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Back non-league day!!!

Post by Chips and Chocolate »

No league games this week-end due to the international break...

...that makes Saturday September 4th the perfect day to get along to your local non-league side to show some support for grassroots football. You get your football fix for the weekend and non-league clubs benefit from much needed support – everyone’s a winner!

Not a bad bar there though. The girl behind the bar was certainly checking me out when I went there too! 8)

I've been doing a few Bognor games anyway, so I don't need to dedicate this weekend to them. I'll just get wasted instead.

Scrap that, I'm in Kings Cross for a mates gig.

Dulwich Hamlets FC near me play in the Rymans, Div 1 south. There tkts are just £6.

They're at home to Burgess Hill town on Saturday at the refreshing K.O time of 3pm. It's not a bad non-league ground. Main stand's no worse than Portsmouths.
I'll scout out both goalies for AW, bet they're better than flappy and the porn star.

My Local Team

They're going to play 10 minutes from my house on the University pitch. Season is over now though. $20 cdn for a ticket? Maybe check it out next summer, gotta support what little football we get around here locally.

Dover Athletic charge, I think, £12 to stand. Don't know where they're playing Saturday, but I won't be going anyway - even though Martin Hayes is the manager.

if we all work together and do our best to avoid any such 'grass roots' football it can be phased out entirely leaving the sport for the big money vultures

I went to Burgess Hill last Monday - Bank Holiday match vs. Bognor. They beat us 2-1, and it was fecking unbelievable how we lost - Arsenal style!

The stand is good, but being behind the goal is surely better? ... It's where the bar is! 8)
